Greetings in the Lord's precious name.
The flood in the state of Johor arrived quite unexpectedly and at a time when the nation celebrates Chinese New Year. You would have read in the report that it is worse than the 2006-2007 flood situation.
One Pastor in Johor reported that, "Segamat town is like a warzone. The people especially the Chinese were demoralized with CNY around the corner. The muddy water is still high and not receded."
The JB Pastors Crises Relief Centre has been co-ordinating relief items like clothing and food. Ps Steven Wong is planning a distribution in Segamat town on the 12th of February, looking to the Lord to supply a Relief Package of Food in a Pail/Basket/Bucket with Biscuit, Instant Noodle/Drinks at RM 20 each. He is targeting 3,000 families and this will be distributed using coupons through local leaders to create Community Awareness that the church cares.
