Week 1 (22-28 Oct 2022): Sovereignty of God
Weekly scripture: Jeremiah 29:5-14

As we launch the first week of 22.22.22 Prayer Initiative for GE15, we would like to encourage all believers to come before God with the right posture, by acknowledging His SOVEREIGNTY over our lives and our nation. We are reminded once again in the Lord’s prayer, “Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom comes, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

God has a good plan, and His plan is always perfect, going beyond situations that we cannot see and things that we do not perceive. In Jeremiah 29:5-14, we know that God’s desire is to prosper His people and not to harm them in the midst of their dire situation. The people of God were exhorted to live uprightly whilst in exile, sought their welfare, and wait expectantly for His visitation, deliverance, and restoration.

Malaysia is expected to experience monsoons during the coming GE15. This would also create setbacks for our economic recovery. Times are going to get tough. Let’s learn to welcome these critical and challenging times with our fervent prayers, that God’s destiny for our nation will be fulfilled. The Church must be awakened to recognize God’s heartbeat, so that we can align ourselves with His perfect plan for our nation.

We have provided for you daily scripture text and prayer items for your meditation and intercession.

 

Day 1 (Sat, 22 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Isaiah 46:9-10 For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus. I come humbly before You, the One who has created all things without the counsel of any of Your creation. You have known and even declared the end from the beginning and ancient times things not yet done. I confess that I know so little, and my understanding is shallow. Help me to intercede for the nation with insight that flows from Your throne of grace and mercy, so that I would pray with such an awareness of Your Presence and Sovereignty. Amen!  

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the people of God would see His sovereignty and that He is the ultimate King reigning over all human institutions.
  2. Pray for the seven members of the Election Commission (SPR), that they would ensure the whole election process is conducted in a manner of fairness and equity.

 

Day 2 (Sun, 23 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Daniel 4:32…and seven periods of time shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, You exalt one and You humble the other. You enthrone and You dethrone, all according to Your own pleasure and will. You have worked through even evil kings and bad circumstances to bring forth the good that You have in store for Your Kingdom and Glory. We acknowledge Your absolute authority in deciding the future of our nation. We praise and honor You. Amen!   

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would be assured of God’s sovereignty over all the happenings in the past, present, and future as we trust that God has the best plan in mind for our nation.
  2. Pray for the entire process of the election: the nomination, the campaigning, the polling, the ballot counting, and the declaration of winners will be announced appropriately.

 

Day 3 (Mon, 24 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, presently we have a grave concern about where our nation is heading into. There is much confusion and distraction from social media over the matters happening in our nation and our desire is to hear You speak to us personally and corporately. We want to cry out for Your mercy so that our hearts would not waver. We want to experience Your peace in all circumstances. Help us to remain faithful as we are called to pray and intercede for our nation. Amen!       

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would seek God diligently, and have the assurance that nothing can stop or disqualify us from doing the will of God.
  2. Pray that the Church would release forgiveness towards any unjust national policies made, as well as the appointment and conduct of ungodly national leaders over the years. Name them before God and ask Him for forgiveness in the event that we may have held grudges against them.

 

Day 4 (Tue, 25 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
1 Chronicles 29:11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, many times we wage war with our own flesh over our own idealism or preference, and we end up with nothing but disappointment and a sense of betrayal! We even end up with our own choices instead of Yours. How wonderful it is when we recognize You are all in all! How good it is when we acknowledge Your greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty like David of the old! Let our hearts find rest when we wrestle in the Spirit of God. Amen!            

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that God’s sovereignty would be made known to all throughout this nation, even those who are yet to know Him personally.
  2. Pray for the Church and the people of God not merely to live as dwellers of the land, but as lovers of the land and its people.

 

Day 5 (Wed, 26 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Daniel 2:21 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus events may not happen the way we desire, as our ways are not Your ways and our thoughts are not Your thoughts. However, we pray for blessings upon GE15 that it would be fulfilled according to Your agenda and that Your sovereign will to be done for the land of Malaysia. Amen!

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that God would restore the spiritual fortunes of the Church over this nation, in evangelism, church planting, disciple-making, and the wisdom of God be experienced so that the Church will impact and provide solutions for the nation.   
  2. Pray for the 222 constituencies would have the respective seats filled and a good representation of voices in the Dewan Rakyat. Pray for the candidates in your constituencies, that they would be men and women of integrity, vision, and patriotism.

 

Day 6 (Thu, 27 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Colossians 1:16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, we are reminded once again that thrones or dominions and rulers in authority were created through You and for You. They are Your vessels and they serve Your purposes even unknown to them, as You said the wicked are created for the day of troubles. We surrender all our arguments and frustrations before You. We give thanks to the candidates that are presented before us, and we ask that You help us to make choices with the wisdom that comes from You.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would stand united for Jesus Christ our Lord. Even though we might form different judgments towards the GE15 candidates, we acknowledge that all things in heaven and on earth were created through Him and for Him.
  2. Pray that God would touch the hearts of the voters, that they would not be plagued with a sense of disillusion and hopelessness, but instead, they would be fuelled by a sense of hope and purpose in their roles and involvement.

 

Day 7 (Fri, 28 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Proverbs 21:31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, the battle belongs to You. You do not fight based on our preferences or choices, but You do so for Your own glory and purpose. Teach us to clothe ourselves with the full armour of God, as we intercede for our nation from the posture of repentance and humility. 

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Lord would help us to come under the sovereign Lordship of Christ, that we could pray for the nation and its leaders (be it current or future) with a heart of compassion, sacrificial love, and righteousness.
  2. Pray for the young voters in Malaysia to exercise their rights as citizens of this nation. Pray for God to touch them to have a deep sense of responsibility and ownership to see the nation come out of its current predicament.

Minggu 1 (22-28 Okt 2022): Kedaulatan Tuhan
Firman Mingguan: Yeremia 29:5-14

Dalam kami melancarkan minggu pertama 22.22.22 Inisiatif Doa untuk PRU15, kami ingin menggalakkan semua orang yang percaya untuk datang di hadapan Tuhan dengan sikap yang benar, dengan mengiktirafkan KEDAULATAN-NYA ke atas hidup kita dan negara kita. Kita diingatkan sekali lagi dalam doa Tuhan, “Bapa kami yang di Syurga, dikuduskanlah nama-Mu. Datanglah Kerajaan-Mu, jadilah kehendak-Mu, di bumi seperti di surga.”

Tuhan mempunyai rancangan yang baik, dan rancangan-Nya sentiasa sempurna, melampaui situasi yang tidak dapat kita lihat dan perkara yang tidak dapat kita fahami. Dalam Yeremia 29:5-14, kita tahu bahawa keinginan Tuhan adalah untuk memakmurkan umat-Nya dan bukan untuk mencederakan mereka di tengah-tengah keadaan mereka yang terdesak. Umat Tuhan didorong untuk hidup dengan jujur semasa dalam pengasingan, mencari kesejahteraan mereka, dan menunggu dengan penuh harapan untuk lawatan, pembebasan, dan pemulihan-Nya.

Malaysia dijangka mengalami musim tengkujuh semasa PRU15 yang akan datang. Ini juga akan memberi kesan kepada proses pemulihan ekonomi kita. Keadaan akan menjadi sukar. Mari kita belajar untuk menyambut masa-masa genting dan mencabar ini dengan doa yang sungguh-sungguh, agar panggilan Tuhan untuk negara kita akan digenapi. Gereja mesti disedarkan untuk mengenali degupan jantung Tuhan, supaya kita boleh menyelaraskan diri kita dengan rancangan-Nya yang sempurna untuk negara kita.

Kami telah menyediakan teks pembacaan firman Tuhan untuk setiap hari dan perkara-perkara doa untuk renungan dan doa syafaat anda.

 

Hari 1 (Sabtu, 22 Okt 2022)

Firman Mingguan: Yesaya 46:9-10
“Ingatlah hal-hal yang dahulu dari sejak purbakala, bahwasanya Akulah Allah dan tidak ada yang lain, Akulah Allah dan tidak ada yang seperti Aku, yang memberitahukan dari mulanya hal yang kemudian dan dari zaman purbakala apa yang belum terlaksana, yang berkata: Keputusan-Ku akan sampai, dan segala kehendak-Ku akan Kulaksanakan,”

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus. Aku datang dengan rendah hati di hadapan-Mu, yang telah menciptakan segala sesuatu tanpa nasihat dari mana-mana ciptaan-Mu. Engkau telah mengetahui dan bahkan memberitahukan dari mulanya hal yang kemudian dan dari zaman purbakala apa yang belum terlaksana. Saya mengaku bahawa pengetahuan saya sangat sedikit, dan pemahaman saya adalah cetek. Tolonglah saya untuk bersyafaat bagi bangsa dengan pemahaman yang mengalir dari takhta kasih anugerah dan belas kasihan-Mu, agar saya berdoa dengan peka akan Kehadiran dan Kedaulatan-Mu. Amin!

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar umat Tuhan dapat melihat kedaulatan-Nya dan bahawa Dia adalah satu-satunya Raja yang memerintah ke atas semua institusi manusia.
  2. Berdoa untuk tujuh ahli Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR), agar mereka memastikan keseluruhan proses pilihan raya dijalankan dengan adil dan saksama.

 

Hari 2 (Ahad, 23 Okt 2022)

Firman Mingguan: Daniel 4:32
“…engkau akan dihalau dari antara manusia dan tempat tinggalmu akan ada di antara binatang-binatang di padang; kepadamu akan diberikan makanan rumput seperti kepada lembu; dan demikianlah akan berlaku atasmu sampai tujuh masa berlalu, hingga engkau mengakui, bahwa Yang Mahatinggi berkuasa atas kerajaan manusia dan memberikannya kepada siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya!"

Respon Doa: Engkau meninggikan yang satu dan merendahkan yang lain. Engkau menaikan takhta dan Engkau turunkan takhta, semuanya menurut kehendak-Mu. Engkau telah bekerja melalui raja-raja yang jahat dan keadaan yang buruk untuk menghasilkan kebaikan yang Engkau sediakan untuk Kerajaan dan Kemuliaan-Mu. Kami mengakui kuasa mutlak-Mu dalam menentukan masa depan negara kami. Kami memuji dan memuliakan Engkau. Amin!

 Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Gereja diyakinkan akan kedaulatan Tuhan ke atas semua kejadian pada masa lalu, sekarang, dan masa depan kerana kita percaya bahawa Tuhan mempunyai rancangan terbaik untuk negara kita.
  2. Berdoalah agar Gereja melepaskan pengampunan terhadap sebarang dasar negara yang tidak adil, serta pelantikan dan kelakuan duniawi pemimpin negara selama ini. Namakan mereka di hadapan Tuhan dan mohonlah pengampunan kepada-Nya sekiranya kita mungkin menyimpan perasaan dendam terhadap mereka.

 

Hari 3 (Isnin, 24 Okt 2022)

Firman Mingguan: Roma 8:28
“Kita tahu sekarang, bahwa Allah turut bekerja dalam segala sesuatu untuk mendatangkan kebaikan bagi mereka yang mengasihi Dia, yaitu bagi mereka yang terpanggil sesuai dengan rencana Allah.”

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, pada masa ini kami mempunyai kebimbangan besar dengan keadaan negara kami. Terdapat banyak kekeliruan dan gangguan dari media sosial mengenai perkara yang berlaku di negara kami dan keinginan kami adalah untuk mendengar Engkau berbicara kepada kami secara peribadi dan korporat. Kami ingin berseru memohon belas kasihan-Mu agar hati kami tidak goyah. Kami ingin mengalami kedamaian-Mu dalam semua keadaan. Bantulah kami untuk tetap setia Ketika kami dipanggil untuk berdoa dan bersyafaat bagi negara kami. Amin! 

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Gereja mencari Tuhan dengan tekun, dan mendapat jaminan bahawa tiada apa yang boleh menghalang atau membatalkan kelayakan kita daripada melakukan kehendak Tuhan.
  2. Berdoa untuk keseluruhan proses pilihan raya: pencalonan, kempen, pengundian, pengiraan undi, dan pengisytiharan pemenang akan diumumkan dengan sewajarnya.

 

Hari 4 (Selasa, 25 Okt 2022)

Firman Mingguan: 1 Tawarikh 29:11
Ya TUHAN, punya-Mulah kebesaran dan kejayaan, kehormatan, kemasyhuran dan keagungan, ya, segala-galanya yang ada di langit dan di bumi! Ya TUHAN, punya-Mulah kerajaan dan Engkau yang tertinggi itu melebihi segala-galanya sebagai kepala.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, banyak kali kita berperang dengan daging kami sendiri atas idealisme atau keutamaan kami sendiri, dan kami berakhir dengan kekecewaan dan rasa pengkhianatan! Kami akhirnya dengan pilihan kami sendiri dan bukannya pilihan-Mu. Alangkah indahnya apabila kami mengenali Engkau dalam segalanya! Betapa baiknya apabila kami mengakui kebesaran, kuasa, kemuliaan, kemenangan, dan keagungan-Mu seperti Daud di zaman dahulu! Biarkan hati kami mendapat ketenangan apabila kami bergumul dalam Roh Tuhan. Amin!     

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar kedaulatan Tuhan akn diisyitiharkan kepada semua di seluruh negara ini, walaupun kepada mereka yang belum mengenali-Nya secara peribadi.
  2. Berdoalah untuk Gereja dan umat Tuhan bukan sahaja untuk hidup sebagai penduduk di negara ini, tetapi juga sebagai pencinta tanah air dan rakyatnya.

 

Hari 5 (Rabu, 26 Oct 2022)

Firman Mingguan: Daniel 2:21
“Dia mengubah saat dan waktu, Dia memecat raja dan mengangkat raja, Dia memberi hikmat kepada orang bijaksana dan pengetahuan kepada orang yang berpengertian;”

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, banyak perkara mungkin tidak berlaku seperti yang kami kehendaki, kerana jalan kami bukanlah jalan-Mu dan fikiran kami bukanlah fikiran-Mu. Walau bagaimanapun, kami berdoa memohon keberkatan pada PRU15 agar ia dapat dipenuhi mengikut agenda-Mu dan kedaulatan-Mu dan akan terlaksana untuk bumi Malaysia. Amin!

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Tuhan memulihkan keadaan rohani Gereja atas negara ini, dalam penginjilan, penubuhan gereja, pemuridan, dan kebijaksanaan Tuhan dialami supaya Gereja akan berdampak dan menyediakan penyelesaian untuk negara.
  2. Doakan agar 222 kawasan pilihan raya akan diisi kerusi masing-masing dan perwakilan menjadi suara yang baik di Dewan Rakyat. Doakan calon-calon di kawasan anda, agar mereka menjadi orang yang berintegriti, berwawasan, dan patriotik.

 

Hari 6 (Khamis, 27 Okt 2022)

Firman Mingguan: Kolose 1:16
“…karena di dalam Dialah telah diciptakan segala sesuatu, yang ada di sorga dan yang ada di bumi, yang kelihatan dan yang tidak kelihatan, baik singgasana, maupun kerajaan, baik pemerintah, maupun penguasa; segala sesuatu diciptakan oleh Dia dan untuk Dia.”

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, kami diingatkan sekali lagi bahawa takhta atau kerajaan dan penguasa yang berkuasa diciptakan oleh Engkau dan untuk Engkau. Mereka adalah wadah-Mu dan mereka melayani tujuan-Mu walaupun tidak mereka ketahui, seperti yang Engkau katakan orang jahat diciptakan untuk hari kesusahan. Kami menyerahkan segala perdebatan dan kekecewaan kami di hadapan-Mu. Kami berterima kasih kepada calon-calon yang dibentangkan di hadapan kami, dan kami memohon agar Engkau membantu kami membuat pilihan dengan kebijaksanaan yang datang dari-Mu.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Gereja bersatu untuk Yesus Kristus Tuhan kita. Walaupun kita mungkin membuat pertimbangan yang berbeza terhadap calon PRU15, kita mengakui bahawa segala sesuatu di syurga dan di bumi diciptakan oleh Dia dan untuk Dia.
  2. Berdoalah agar Tuhan menyentuh hati para pengundi, agar mereka tidak dibelenggu rasa kecewa dan putus asa, sebaliknya, mereka akan didorong oleh rasa harapan dan tujuan dalam peranan dan penglibatan mereka.

 

Hari 7 (Jumaat, 28 Okt 2022)

Firman Mingguan: Amsal 21:31
“Kuda diperlengkapi untuk hari peperangan, tetapi kemenangan ada di tangan TUHAN.”

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, pertempuran adalah milik-Mu. Engkau tidak berjuang berdasarkan keutamaan atau pilihan kami, tetapi Engkau melakukannya untuk kemuliaan dan tujuan-Mu sendiri. Ajarlah kami untuk mengenakan kelengkapan senjata Tuhan, sambil kami bersyafaat bagi bangsa kami dengan sikap pertaubatan dan kerendahan hati.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Tuhan membantu kita untuk berada di bawah Kekuasaan Kristus yang berdaulat, agar kita dapat berdoa untuk negara dan para pemimpinnya (sama ada semasa atau masa depan) dengan hati yang belas kasihan, kasih yang tidak berbelah bahagi, dan kebenaran.
  2. Berdoalah untuk pengundi muda di Malaysia menggunakan hak mereka sebagai rakyat negara ini. Berdoalah agar Tuhan menyentuh mereka untuk mempunyai rasa tanggungjawab dan hak milik yang mendalam untuk melihat negara keluar dari kesusahan semasa.

第 1 周（2022 年 10 月 22 日至 28 日）：上帝的主权
每周经文：耶利米书 29:5-14

当我们为第15届全国大选发起 祷告行动 22.22.22 的第一周时，我们要鼓励所有的基督徒以正确的态度来到上帝的面前，承认祂对我们的生命和国家的主权。让主祷文再次地提醒我们：“我们在天上的父，愿人都尊你的名为圣。愿你的国降临，愿你的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上。”

上帝有个美好的计划，祂的计划是完全的，超越我们所看所思和所想的情况和处境。在耶利米书 29:5-14 中，我们知道上帝极其渴慕祂的子民兴盛，而不是处在凄凉的的境况中受伤害。祂差派先知劝告祂的子民在被掳之地要过正直的生活，寻求他们的福利，并期待着祂的造访、拯救和重建。

我们预计在即将来临的第15届全国大选期间，将是马来西亚吹起季候风的季节。这将导致经济复苏受挫，也是艰难时刻临到的时候。让我们学习以迫切的祷告，迎接这些关键且充满挑战的时刻，使我们的国家能进入上帝的命定。教会必须警醒以认识上帝的心跳，这样我们才能与上帝对我们国家的完全计划对齐。

第 1 天（2022 年 10 月 22 日，星期六）

每日经文:
以赛亚书 46:9-10… …因为我是神，并无别神，我是神，再没有能比我的。我从起初指明末后的事，从古时言明未成的事，说，我的筹算必立定，凡我所喜悦的，我必成就。

回应祷告：主耶稣。我们谦卑地来到祢面前，因祢是创造万物的主，没有人能与祢相比。祢从起初就宣告末后的事，从古时就述说还未做成的事。我们承认自己对目前的情况知道得太少，所理解的也很肤浅。求祢帮助我们能来到祢充满怜悯的施恩宝座前，领受祢所赐予的察力来为国家守望代求，使我们晓得我们是在祢的同在和主权下祷告。阿门！

祷告事项：

  1. 求神帮助祂的子民能看到祂的主权，晓得祂是统治所有人类机构的大君王。
  2. 为选举委员会（SPR）的七名成员祷告，帮助他们能确保整个选举过程能以公平正直的方式进行。

 

第 2 天（2022 年 10 月 23 日，星期日）

每日经文：
但以理书 4:32……且要经过七期。等你知道至高者在人的国中掌权，要将国赐与谁就赐与谁。

回应祷告：主耶稣，是祢使这人升高，那人降卑。祢按照自己的意愿和旨意立王废王。祢也能透过邪恶的国王和恶劣的环境，使你的国度得着极大的荣耀！我们承认祢有绝对的权威决定我们国家的未来。我们要赞美荣耀你。阿门！

祷告事项：

  1. 祷告教会能确信神对过去、现在和未来所发生的事有绝对的主权，因为我们深信神对我们的国家有最美好的计划。
  2. 祷告教会愿意饶恕多年来所制定的不公平的国家政策，以及委任不敬畏神的国家领导及他们的邪恶行为。在上帝面前提出他们的名字，若我们对他们仍然充满怨恨，求神赦免我们。

 

第 3 天（2022 年 10 月 24 日，星期一）

每日经文：
罗马书 8:28： 我们晓得万事都互相效力，叫爱神的人得益处，就是按他旨意被召的人。

回应祷告：主耶稣，目前我们非常担忧国家前方的走向。社交媒体让我们备受干扰，同时对国家所发生的事情充满疑惑，我们渴望无论是个人或集体都能聆听祢亲自对我们说话。我们向你呼求怜悯，使我们的心不至于动摇。无论在任何的情况下我们渴望经历从祢而来的平安。当我们被呼召为国家守望代求时，求祢帮助我们能持续忠心到底。阿门！

祷告事项：

  1. 求神帮助教会殷勤地寻求神，并确信没有任何人、事、物能拦阻我们遵行神的旨意。
  2. 为选举的整个过程祷告：提名、竞选、投票、计票、适当地宣布中选名单。

 

第 4 天（2022 年 10 月 25 日，星期二）

每日经文：
历代志上 29:11 耶和华阿，尊大，能力，荣耀，强胜，威严都是祢的。凡天上地下的都是祢的。国度也是祢的，并且祢为至高，为万有之首。

回应祷告：主耶稣，很多时候我们为了本身的理想或喜好与肉体争战，结果换来的只有失望和背叛！我们甚至会按自己的心意而不是祢的心意做出选择。当我们意识到祢是我们的一切，这是何等的奇妙！就像古时的大卫王一样承认祢的伟大、能力、荣耀、胜利和威严时，那是多么的美好！当我们在与神的灵摔跤时，我们的心将经历何等的安息。阿门！

祷告要点：

  1. 求神帮助全马来西亚人都能意识到上帝的主权，包括那些还没有与祂建立个人关系的人民。
  2. 求神帮助祂的教会和神的子民不只是成为这片土地的居民，乃是成为深爱这片土地和其子民的人。

 

第 5 天（2022 年 10 月 26 日，星期三）

每日经文：

Week 2 (29 Oct-4 Nov 2022): Obedience & Submission
Weekly scripture: Romans 13:1-6

Obedience and submission were the greatest lessons our Lord Jesus had learned throughout his lifetime on earth. Although he was a Son of God, he learned obedience by the things he had suffered (Hebrews 5:8). The resurrection power of Christ lies in His complete obedience and submission, as the Son of God and the Son of Man. The people of God are called to live such a life too, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in obedience to God and submitting to institutions or authorities that God has established on earth.

As we enter the second week of praying for the GE15, we need to be reminded that we are both citizens of the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world. It is by acknowledging the sovereignty of God that we find great assurance, strength, and peace in obeying all rulers and authorities that we come under. Hence, both Paul (Romans 13:1-6) and Peter (1 Peter 2:13-25) exhort believers of Christ to live a submissive life in order to testify to the resurrection power and goodness of God.

Let’s continue to pray for the nation with a heart of obedience to God, and a submissive spirit. (Please find the daily prayer points in NECF’s App, Website & Facebook pages).

 

Day 8 (Sat, 29 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
1 Samuel 15:22 Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, we observed how Saul offered sacrifices trying to please You and invited Your presence to his battlefield. More often we assumed that we have done our nation a favour by praying for her. It is not the length of time or the contents that you are concerned with, but true obedience and sacrifice from our heart which You search intently. Teach us, O Lord, as we want to align ourselves with Your heart that reaches out to both the sick and the lost with love and compassion. Amen.   

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would be God’s obedient children, willingly offering the right sacrifice that pleases His heart.
  2. Pray that the caretaker government will continue to administer faithfully during this interim period of Parliament dissolution and after the formation of the new government. Remember to uphold the Civil Service as much of the responsibilities rest with them.   

 

Day 9 (Sun, 30 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.

Prayer Response:  Lord Jesus, we gain our authority not by wielding the weapons of the flesh, i.e., through arguments or expressing of lofty opinions that are not aligned with Your Word. Instead, we gain authority by obeying You and responding to Your call as a Church of Jesus Christ. Help us to discern, so that we would not idolize men, systems, ideas, etc., but hold fast to the role of being Your royal Priesthood, servants set apart by You for this nation. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would always exalt God and His precepts over human idealism, and we would be free from idolism by fixing our eyes upon Jesus, rather than placing our hope in worldly systems. 
  2. Pray for all the registered political parties and coalition partners to hold fast to their campaign position and not be double-minded. Pray they would act truthfully with a heart of integrity. Pray that God would enlighten the candidates that serving the rakyat will be their first priority. 

 

Day 10 (Mon, 31 Oct 2022)

Daily Scripture:
John 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, the greatest hindrance for us to bear much fruit for You is not about our outworking but our inward struggles. We are inclined to hold fast to our personal agenda in the way we serve and are not prepared to give up our selfish desires Help us to come to terms with Your purposes for this nation, so that we do not just seek temporal gratification but eternal glory and righteousness for Your Kingdom. Amen!

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would bear much fruit by being obedient to Christ and recognizing that the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few. Pray that we will offer our lives to God for Him to mould and shape us to be vessels for His glory.
  2. Pray for the 5.8 million youth (which represents more than ¼ of the eligible voters) who would automatically become voters under UNDI-18 in the coming GE15. Pray that they would not be misled and allowed to be misused but verify the facts that will enable them to make the right voting decisions.

 

Day 11 (Tue, 1 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Hebrews 5:7-9 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, we acknowledge that we have the tendency of trying to skip the lesson of obedience and lean upon real-life experiences. We desire instant answers for everything, and we demand a God who would give us a quick fixed solution. We have failed to ask for Your forgiveness and are not prepared to learn how the Lord Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears. Teach us to remain in a posture of humility, seeking your awesome presence and correction for our lives.          

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would imitate Christ and always seek to share Him and serve Him in season and out of season and that the body of Christ would be strengthened by fixing our eyes on Jesus and placing our trust and faith in Him alone. 
  2. Pray that the media (be it official or non-official) would be able to perform their duties without obstacles and hindrances and that Malaysians would have our basic right to hear facts throughout the GE15.

 

Day 12 (Wed, 2 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Titus 3:1-2 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarrelling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.

Prayer Response:  Lord Jesus, we come humbly before Your living Word. We confess that we are not ready for every good work most of the time and we sin by speaking evil out of our frustrations. We acknowledge that we need Your cleansing coal to make us people with clean lips and pure hearts. Sanctify us so that we can pray with a sense of hope and mercy.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would abound in good works, especially to the governing authorities, and remain faithful to God and truthful to men.   
  2. Pray that the election system would continue to take into consideration the needs of all voters, especially the Sarawakians and Sabahans who find it hard to travel back to vote due to work and financial constraints.

 

Day 13 (Thu, 3 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
1 Peter 2:13-15 Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, our call goes more than loving those who are lovable in Christ, but also those outside the body of Christ, whom we find hard to love. We realize that it is Your love that goes beyond human boundaries, breaking all curses, and redeeming sinners from the darkness. Grant us love that goes beyond our understanding, which in turn transforms us to become faithful servants for your namesake and glory. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that we would be people who will abide by the spiritual wisdom of the Lord. We will not incline upon human understanding but meditate upon His word and gain fresh revelation as we pray for the nation.
  2. Pray that the online voting system would operate smoothly without any hiccups and that the postal votes would arrive on time at the respective vote-counting centres.

 

Day 14 (Fri, 4 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Romans 13:3-4 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. 

Prayer Response:  Lord Jesus, when situations turn out to be opposite of what is expected, it becomes normal for us to doubt Your instructions and we begin to seek ways to justify our discontentment. Teach us to trust in You, for Your word is true and it stands forever, and by the word of Your power, the universe is sustained. Amen.  

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that God would reveal to us creative ideas and means to do good so that we could serve our nation with the abundant resources that God has blessed the Church.
  2. Pray for all the personnel involved in the 222 nomination centres (PPC) and 222 official vote counting centres (PPRU) designated by the Election Commission, that they would serve the Malaysians with hearts of integrity. 

 

Minggu ke-2 (29 Okt-4 Nov 2022): Ketaatan & Penyerahan
Ayat Firman Tuhan mingguan: Roma 13:1-6

Ketaatan dan penyerahan adalah pelajaran terbesar yang telah dipelajari oleh Tuhan Yesus sepanjang hayatnya di bumi. Walaupun Dia adalah Anak Allah, tetapi Dia belajar ketaatan melalui perkara-perkara yang telah dideritanya (Ibrani 5:8). Kuasa kebangkitan Kristus terletak pada kepatuhan dan ketundukan-Nya sepenuhnya, sebagai Anak Allah dan Anak Manusia. Umat ​​Tuhan dipanggil untuk menjalani kehidupan seperti itu juga, melalui kuasa Roh Kudus, dalam ketaatan kepada Tuhan dan tunduk kepada institusi atau pihak berkuasa yang telah Tuhan tetapkan di bumi.

Memasuki minggu kedua berdoa untuk PRU ke-15, kita perlu diingatkan bahawa kita adalah warga Kerajaan Tuhan dan kerajaan dunia ini. Dengan mengakui kedaulatan Tuhan kita mendapat jaminan, kekuatan, dan kedamaian yang besar dalam mematuhi semua pemerintah dan pihak berkuasa yang berkuasa di atas kita. Hari ke-8 (Sabtu, 29 Okt 2022)

Firman Harian:
1 Samuel 15:22 Adakah Tuhan berkenan kepada korban bakaran dan korban sembelihan, sama seperti mendengarkan suara Tuhan? Sesungguhnya, menurut itu lebih baik daripada korban, dan mendengar daripada lemak domba jantan.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, kami memerhatikan bagaimana Saul mempersembahkan korban hanya cuba untuk menyenangkan Engkau dan mengundang kehadiran-Mu ke medan perangnya. Seringkali kita menganggap bahawa kita telah melakukan perkara yang baik kepada negara kita dengan doa kita.   1. Berdoa agar Gereja menjadi anak Tuhan yang taat, dengan rela mempersembahkan korban yang benar, yang berkenan di hati-Nya.
  2. Berdoa agar kerajaan sementara akan terus mentadbir dengan setia dalam tempoh interim pembubaran Parlimen ini dan selepas pembentukan kerajaan baharu. Ingatlah untuk memartabatkan Perkhidmatan Awam kerana banyak tanggungjawab terletak atas mereka.

 

Hari ke-9 (Ahad, 30 Okt 2022)

Firman Harian:
2 Korintus 10:4-6 karena senjata kami dalam perjuangan bukanlah senjata duniawi, melainkan senjata yang diperlengkapi dengan kuasa Allah, yang sanggup untuk meruntuhkan benteng-benteng. Kami mematahkan setiap siasat orang dan merubuhkan setiap kubu yang dibangun oleh keangkuhan manusia untuk menentang pengenalan akan Allah. Kami menawan segala pikiran dan menaklukkannya kepada Kristus, dan kami siap sedia juga untuk menghukum setiap kedurhakaan, bila ketaatan kamu telah menjadi sempurna.  

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, kami memperoleh kuasa kami bukan untuk digunakan sebagai senjata kedagingan, iaitu, melalui hujah atau menyatakan pendapat yang bernas tetapi tidak selaras dengan Firman-Mu. Sebaliknya, kami memperoleh kuasa dengan mematuhi-Mu dan menyahut panggilan-Mu sebagai Gereja Yesus Kristus. Tolonglah kami untuk memahami, supaya kami tidak mengidolakan manusia, sistem, idea, dsb., tetapi berpegang teguh pada peranan sebagai Imamat diraja-Mu, hamba-hamba yang dikhususkan oleh-Mu untuk bangsa ini. Amin.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Gereja sentiasa meninggikan Tuhan dan perintah-Nya daripada idealisme manusia, dan kita akan bebas daripada berhala dengan menumpukan mata kepada Yesus, dan bukannya meletakkan harapan kita dalam sistem duniawi.
  2. Berdoa agar semua parti politik dan rakan pakatan yang berdaftar berpegang teguh pada kedudukan kempen mereka dan tidak bermuka dua. Doakan mereka akan bertindak jujur ​​dengan hati yang berintegriti. Berdoa agar Tuhan memberi pencerahan kepada calon-calon bahawa berkhidmat kepada rakyat akan menjadi keutamaan mereka.

 

Hari ke-10 (Isnin, 31 Okt 2022)

Firman Harian:
Yohanes 12:24 Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya jikalau biji gandum tidak jatuh ke dalam tanah dan mati, ia tetap satu biji saja; tetapi jika ia mati, ia akan menghasilkan banyak buah.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, halangan terbesar kami untuk menghasilkan banyak buah bagi-Mu bukanlah tentang usaha kami tetapi dalam diri kami. Kami cenderung untuk berpegang teguh dengan agenda peribadi kami dalam cara kami melayani dan tidak bersedia untuk melepaskan keinginan kepentingkan diri kami. Bantu kami untuk menyelami isi hati-Mu bagi bangsa ini dan kebenaran untuk Kerajaan-Mu. Amin!

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Gereja menghasilkan banyak buah dengan taat kepada Kristus dan menyedari bahawa tuaian banyak tetapi pekerja sedikit. Berdoalah agar kita mempersembahkan hidup kita kepada Tuhan untuk Dia membentuk dan membentuk kita menjadi alat bagi kemuliaan-Nya.
  2. Berdoa untuk 5.8 juta belia (yang mewakili lebih daripada ¼ daripada pengundi yang layak) yang secara automatik akan menjadi pengundi di bawah UNDI-18 pada PRU15 akan datang. Dan sekalipun Ia adalah Anak, Ia telah belajar menjadi taat dari apa yang telah diderita-Nya, dan sesudah Ia mencapai kesempurnaan-Nya, Ia menjadi pokok keselamatan yang abadi bagi semua orang yang taat kepada-Nya, dan Ia dipanggil menjadi Imam Besar oleh Allah, menurut peraturan Melkisedek.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, kami mengakui bahawa kami mempunyai kecenderungan untuk cuba melangkau pelajaran ketaatan dan bersandar pada pengalaman kehidupan sebenar. Kami inginkan jawapan segera untuk segala-galanya, dan kami menuntut Tuhan yang akan memberi kami penyelesaian tetap yang cepat. Kami telah gagal untuk memohon pengampunan-Mu dan tidak bersedia untuk mempelajari bagaimana Tuhan Yesus mempersembahkan doa dan permohonan, dengan tangisan dan air mata yang nyaring. Ajar kami untuk kekal dalam sikap rendah hati, mencari kehadiran dan pembetulan yang mengagumkan untuk hidup kami. Amin.

  2. Berdoa agar media (sama ada rasmi atau tidak rasmi) dapat melaksanakan tugas mereka tanpa halangan dan halangan dan rakyat Malaysia mempunyai hak asasi kami untuk mendengar fakta sepanjang PRU15.

 

Hari ke-12 (Rabu, 2 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Titus 3:1-2 Ingatkanlah mereka supaya mereka tunduk pada pemerintah dan orang-orang yang berkuasa, taat dan siap untuk melakukan setiap pekerjaan yang baik. Janganlah mereka memfitnah, janganlah mereka bertengkar, hendaklah mereka selalu ramah dan bersikap lemah lembut terhadap semua orang.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, kami datang dengan rendah hati di hadapan Firman-Mu yang hidup. Kami mengaku bahawa kami tidak bersedia untuk setiap perkerjaan yang baik pada kebanyakan masa dan kami berdosa dengan bercakap jahat daripada kekecewaan kami. Kami mengakui bahawa kami memerlukan arang batu pembersihan-Mu untuk menjadikan kami orang yang mempunyai bibir yang bersih dan hati yang suci. Sucikanlah kami agar kami dapat berdoa dengan penuh pengharapan dan belas kasihan. Amin.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Jemaat akan berlimpah-limpah dalam perbuatan baik, terutama kepada pihak berkuasa yang memerintah, dan tetap setia kepada Tuhan dan jujur ​​kepada manusia.
  2. Berdoa agar sistem pilihan raya akan terus mengambil kira keperluan semua pengundi, terutamanya rakyat Sarawak dan Sabah yang sukar untuk pulang mengundi kerana kekangan kerja dan kewangan.

Firman Harian:

Sebab inilah kehendak Allah, yaitu supaya dengan berbuat baik kamu membungkamkan kepicikan orang-orang yang bodoh.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, panggilan kami bukan saja mengasihi mereka yang dikasihi dalam Kristus, tetapi juga mereka yang di luar tubuh Kristus, yang sukar untuk kami kasihi. Kami sedar bahawa kasih-Mu yang melampaui batas manusia, mematahkan segala kutukan, dan menebus orang berdosa dari kegelapan. Kurniakan kami kasih sayang yang melampaui pemahaman kami, yang seterusnya mengubah kami menjadi hamba yang setia demi nama dan kemuliaan-Mu. Amin.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar kami menjadi orang yang akan berpegang pada hikmat rohani Tuhan. Kita tidak akan cenderung kepada pemahaman manusia tetapi merenungkan firman-Nya dan memperoleh wahyu baru semasa kita berdoa untuk negara.
  2. Berdoa agar sistem pengundian dalam talian berjalan lancar tanpa sebarang gangguan dan undi pos tiba tepat pada masanya di pusat pengiraan undi masing-masing.

 

Hari ke-14 (Jumaat, 4 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Roma 13:3-4 Sebab jika seorang berbuat baik, ia tidak usah takut kepada pemerintah, hanya jika ia berbuat jahat. Maukah kamu hidup tanpa takut terhadap pemerintah? Perbuatlah apa yang baik dan kamu akan beroleh pujian dari padanya. Karena pemerintah adalah hamba Allah untuk kebaikanmu. Tetapi jika engkau berbuat jahat, takutlah akan dia, karena tidak percuma pemerintah menyandang pedang. Pemerintah adalah hamba Allah untuk membalaskan murka Allah atas mereka yang berbuat jahat.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, apabila keadaan berubah menjadi bertentangan dengan apa yang diharapkan, menjadi hal yang normal bagi kami untuk meragui arahan-Mu dan kami mula mencari cara untuk membenarkan ketidakpuasan hati kami. Ajarlah kami untuk percaya kepada-Mu, kerana firman-Mu adalah benar dan ia tetap untuk selama-lamanya, dan dengan firman kuasa-Mu, alam semesta terpelihara. Amin.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Tuhan mendedahkan kepada kita idea-idea kreatif dan cara-cara untuk berbuat baik supaya kita boleh berkhidmat kepada negara kita dengan sumber yang melimpah yang Tuhan telah memberkati Gereja.
  2. Berdoa untuk semua kakitangan yang terlibat di 222 pusat penamaan calon (PPC) dan 222 pusat pengiraan undi rasmi (PPRU) yang ditetapkan oleh Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya, agar mereka berkhidmat untuk rakyat Malaysia dengan hati yang berintegriti.

每周经文：罗马书 13:1-6

撒母耳记上 15:22 撒母耳说，耶和华喜悦燔祭和平安祭，岂如喜悦人听从他的话呢？听命胜于献祭。顺从胜于公羊的脂油。

回应祷告 :主耶稣，我们看到扫罗以献祭来讨袮的喜悦，并邀请袮在战场中与他同在。更多的时候，我们常以为为国家祷告已是对国家做出了贡献。我们所关心的不应该是祷告时间的长短或祷告的内容，乃是用心寻求内心真正的顺服和牺牲。主啊，求你教导我们，因我们的心渴望与你对齐，使我们能怜悯与爱生病和迷失的人。阿门。

祷告事项：

  1. 求神帮助教会成为顺服的儿女，乐意献上合乎神心意的祭。
  2. 求神帮助看守政府在国会解散和新政府成立的过渡期中，能继续忠诚地施政。也不忘记为公务员祷告，因为他们需要承担很多的责任。

回应祷告：主耶稣，为袮多结果子的最大障碍不是外在的情况，乃是内心的挣扎。我们常在服侍中坚持个人的议程，并没有准备放弃本身自私的欲望，求你帮助我们愿意接受袮对这国家的计划，使我们不寻求短暂的满足，而是为袮荣耀的缘故，寻求永恒的荣耀。阿门！

祷告事项：

  1. 为教会因顺服基督而多结果子祷告，并意识到庄稼多而工人少。求神帮助我们愿意将生命献上，让神塑造我们，使我们成为祂荣耀的器皿。
  2. 为即将到来的第15届大选祷告，当中约有 580 万18岁以上的青年（占合格选民的 1/4 以上）将自动成为首投族。求神帮助他们不会被误导或滥用选票，而是实事求是，做出正确的选择，投出手中的一票。

希伯来书 5:7-9 基督在肉体的时候，既大声哀哭，流泪祷告恳求那能救他免死的主，就因他的虔诚，蒙了应允。他虽然为儿子，还是因所受的苦难学了顺从。他既得以完全，就为凡顺从他的人，成了永远得救的根源。

回应祷告 :主耶稣，我们承认我们常倚靠自己的经验而试图逃避顺服的功课。我们渴望所有的事情都能有即时的答案，我们期望神赐给我们快速的解决方案。我们没有恳求神的赦免，也没有准备好学习主耶稣大声哀哭和流泪祷告恳求。求袮赐给我们一颗谦卑的心，塑造我们的生命，带领我们进入袮的同在的大能中。

回应祷告：主耶稣，我们谦卑地来到袮那充满生命的话语前，承认我们大部分的时侯都没有准备好要完成那善工。我们常在挫折中口出恶言而犯罪，求袮来洁净我们的嘴唇，使我们成为心清意洁的人。炼净我们，使我们的祷告充满希望和怜悯。

祷告要点：

  1. 求神帮助教会多有善行，特别是对执政掌权者，使他们对神忠心，对人忠诚。
  2. 祷告选举制度能顾及到选民们的需要，特别是砂拉越和沙巴的子民，他们因工作和财务的限制而难以回乡投票。

每日经文：
彼得前书 2:13-15 你们为主的缘故，要顺服人的一切制度，或是在上的君王，或是君王所派罚恶赏善的臣宰。因为神的旨意原是要你们行善，可以堵住那糊涂无知人的口。

回应祷告：主耶稣，我们的呼召不仅要爱那些在基督里可爱的人，还要爱那些在基督肢体之外那不可爱的人。我们意识到，是袮的爱超越了人类的界限，破除了所有的诅咒，将罪人从黑暗中拯救出来。赐给我们超越我们所能理解的爱，转化我们，使我们为袮名和袮荣耀的缘故，成为袮忠心的仆人。阿门

வாரம் 2 ( 29 அக்டோபர் - 4 நவம்பர் 2022 ) : கீழ்ப்படிதலும் இணங்குதலும்
இவ்வார வேதப்பகுதி : ரோமர் 13: 1 – 6

1 பேதுரு 2:13-15 நீங்கள் மனுஷருடைய கட்டளைகள் யாவற்றிற்கும் கர்த்தர்நிமித்தம் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். மேலான அதிகாரமுள்ள ராஜாவுக்கானாலுஞ்சரி, தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஆக்கினையும் நன்மைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியும் உண்டாகும்படி அவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட அதிகாரிகளுக்கானாலுஞ்சரி, கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். நீங்கள் நன்மைசெய்கிறதினாலே புத்தியீன மனுஷருடைய அறியாமையை அடக்குவது தேவனுடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது.

இன்றைய வேதப்பகுதி :

Week 3 (5 Nov-11 Nov 2022): Election
Weekly scripture: Matthew 9:36-38

36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

November 5, has been designated as Nomination Day for GE-15 and that is when we will meet the candidates standing for the coming elections. In verse 37, Jesus highlighted the great contrast between the harvest being plentiful and the labourers being few. It was to remind us that the world is in need of good men and women to be involved in the harvest field. In verse 36, he mentioned the condition of the people as being harassed and helpless, desperately looking for compassionate leaders to shepherd them.

What then would be our desire for the candidates in this coming GE-15?

Malaysia is a multi-religious and multi-racial country, and our wish is that our would-be candidates will have the fear of God in their lives and at the same time possess the authentic leadership skills needed to carry out their duties should they be elected to office. It is our expectation that they will serve the people with truth, righteousness, and justice. Their lives should be exemplary for future generations to emulate, with the desire to rebuild our lovely nation.

As we enter the third week of devotion and prayer, let’s be reminded once again that the Church of Jesus Christ is the only institution that could offer true hope for the nation, because only His government will fill the void with love, grace, and mercy. Hence, continue to attune our spiritual channel to God, and hear His heartbeat for the nation of Malaysia!

 

Day 15 (Sat, 5 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Matthew 9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, we pray that our candidates will have compassion and empathy for the people that they will be elected to serve. We pray that You will give all of the election candidates eyes that will be able to see beyond the problems in our nation and discern the needs of the people. Thank you for giving us hearts of compassion and grace so that we can stand in the gap for them. Amen!

Prayer Points:

  1. Today, we confirm the candidates for nomination for GE-15. We will not know much about each one of them, but You already know them. We pray that they will be God-fearing and will readily accept whatever outcome of the results on Polling Day. During the next two weeks, our prayers are for physical protection and good health, as they undertake the road of campaigning.
  2. Pray that God would remove the blind spots in our national leaders that hinder them from experiencing eternal light and truth in Christ Jesus.

 

Day 16 (Sun, 6 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
 Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Prayer Response:Lord Jesus, when we ponder on the needs of the nation, we see that it needs more than an ideal physical government. Truly, the nation desperately needs a Saviour, who willingly stretches out from heaven and reaches out to the very hearts of men. For we know that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick, who can understand it? Hence, we humbly come and affirm with what Your word says, “Lord, send out labourers into Your harvest.” Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would identify with the heart desire of the Lord of harvest, and equip her people firmly in the Word of God, so that God’s people would have the right biblical perspective and see the world, through the mind of Christ.
  2. Pray that those who are going to contest for the Parliamentary seats available for the upcoming elections will be men and women who resonate and understand the physical suffering of the people, and are prepared to seek and actively provide solutions within their capacity for the well-being of everyone mainly for people in the respective constituencies that they were elected to serve.

 

Day 17 (Mon, 7 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Exodus 18:25 Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, through the instructions given to Moses by his father-in-law, You have shown us how to choose leaders and the quality of leadership You are looking for. Enable us, as Malaysians, to make sound judgments when we vote for the candidates in the respective constituencies. Keep us away from fruitless arguments, but guide us to cast our votes wisely and discreetly for the sake and welfare of our country’s future generations. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would help create and strengthen civic awareness and responsibilities among their congregations, in relation to the young people. Lord, grant wisdom to church leaders to exercise prudent and righteous leadership when they share with their members issues relating to politics and social concern. The church must remember to remain apolitical.
  2. Pray that all Malaysians would overcome racial sentiments and be free from emotional attachment and when they are ready to cast their votes, they will take careful consideration of candidates who have demonstrated competence, justice, and honesty.

 

Day 18 (Tue, 8 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Psalm 127:1-2 Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.

Prayer Response: Lord, we thank you for keeping watch over our nation, and taking away the frustrations when we observe the incompetency of our national leaders. Your word has given us the wonderful assurance of Your divine presence in our nation. Your provision for all of us is beyond our expectations and we know whatever we try to do on our own strength, we will not be able to accomplish much. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church will continue to be faithful watchmen over the nation with a posture of surrendering ourselves to Him so that we might know His will.
  2. Pray that as all parties during the campaigning period will try to outdo each other with their manifesto, You, O Lord, will grant the voters to have the discerning spirit to seek the truth and cast their votes accordingly.

 

Day 19 (Wed, 9 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Psalm 121: 1-2 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.

Prayer Response:Lord Jesus, You are the source of our help and strength. We anchor our hope in You so that whatever changes come from the outcome of GE15, would not move us away or distract us from doing what we do best. The worldly systems or even the Church might fail us, but You would never fail us. You who watch over us will not slumber, and that is the greatest assurance and comfort we have in You. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the people of God would be Kingdom-focused and serve with a heavenward mindset so that whatever changes take place, it would not affect our devotion to pray for the nation and its government.
  2. Pray for the people in rural areas of Peninsular, Sabah, and Sarawak, that they would not be tempted by the money politics that has been heavily implemented through the election machinery. Pray that the scales of their eyes be removed to see through the deception that would gloss and affect their decision.

 

Day 20 (Thu, 10 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, as we enter the campaigning period, many will try their best to influence the voters with their manifestos. Some of these are genuine, while there are some that can be regarded as empty promises. We cannot read the mind of others neither can we read the deceitfulness of their hearts. Yet Lord, you who are high above all things, know the thoughts of men from afar. Give all Malaysians a discerning spirit to know the good from the evil. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church, the agent of change, would display before the world the manifold wisdom of God. Remember that we have been called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
  2. Pray for the spirit of truthfulness to prevail in the GE15. Pray that the manifestos that are being crafted and agreed upon by the various component parties would be truthful and achievable without any hidden agenda.

 

Day 21 (Fri, 11 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Prayer Response:O Lord, as Polling Day draws near, many of us will be filled with anxiety. The campaigning period can also be tense as politicians will try to outdo each other in their respective constituencies. Our prayer is for the peace of God to prevail throughout the nation, even as the media has highlighted that GE-15 will be the “Mother” of all elections. Teach us to guard our hearts and have the mind of Christ so that we will not be influenced emotionally. Let Your peace flows beyond Your Church unto our nation. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church, who receive the surpassing understanding from the Lord, would continue to inspire peace into our conversations. Let us continue to speak blessings upon all people.
  2. Many Malaysians would base their voting decisions on feedback through the daily news and commentaries. Pray against any deceptive spirit that tries to deceive the minds of the people and voters, that in some way will discourage them to go out and exercise their voting rights.

 

Minggu ke-3 (5 Nov-11 Nov 2022): Pilihan Raya
Firman Mingguan: Matius 9:36-38(TB)

36 Melihat orang banyak itu, tergeraklah hati Yesus oleh belas kasihan kepada mereka, karena mereka lelah dan terlantar seperti domba yang tidak bergembala. 37 Maka kata-Nya kepada murid-murid-Nya: "Tuaian memang banyak, tetapi pekerja sedikit. 38 Karena itu mintalah kepada tuan yang empunya tuaian, supaya Ia mengirimkan pekerja-pekerja untuk tuaian itu. "

5 November, telah ditetapkan sebagai Hari Penamaan Calon PRU-15 dan ketika itulah kita akan bertemu calon yang bertanding pada pilihan raya akan datang. Dalam ayat 37, Yesus menonjolkan perbezaan besar dari tuaian yang banyak tetapi pekerjanya sedikit. Ia adalah untuk mengingatkan kita bahawa dunia memerlukan lelaki dan wanita yang baik untuk terlibat dalam ladang tuaian. Dalam ayat 36, beliau menyebut keadaan orang ramai yang diganggu dan tidak berdaya, bermati-matian mencari pemimpin yang belas kasihan untuk menggembalakan mereka.

Jadi apakah hasrat kita kepada calon-calon dalam PRU-15 akan datang?

Malaysia adalah sebuah negara berbilang agama dan kaum, dan hasrat kami ialah calon-calon kita akan mempunyai rasa takut kepada Tuhan dalam hidup mereka dan pada masa yang sama memiliki kemahiran kepimpinan tulen yang diperlukan untuk menjalankan tugas mereka sekiranya mereka dipilih untuk memegang jawatan. Adalah menjadi jangkaan kita bahawa mereka akan berkhidmat kepada rakyat dengan kebenaran dan keadilan. Kehidupan mereka harus menjadi teladan untuk dicontohi oleh generasi akan datang, dengan keinginan untuk membina semula negara kita yang tercinta.

Apabila kita memasuki minggu ketiga renungan dan doa, mari kita diingatkan sekali lagi bahawa Gereja Yesus Kristus adalah satu-satunya institusi yang boleh menawarkan harapan sejati untuk negara, kerana hanya kerajaan-Nya yang akan mengisi kekosongan itu dengan kasih, rahmat dan belas kasihan. Oleh itu, teruskan selaraskan saluran rohani kita kepada Tuhan, dan mendengar isi hati-Nya untuk negara Malaysia!

 

Hari-15 (Sabtu, 5 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Matius 9:36(TB) 36 Melihat orang banyak itu, tergeraklah hati Yesus oleh belas kasihan kepada mereka, karena mereka lelah dan terlantar seperti domba yang tidak bergembala.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, kami berdoa agar calon-calon PRU ke-15 memiliki hati belas kasihan dan empati bagi orang yang akan memilih mereka untuk berkhidmat. Kami berdoa agar Engkau memberi semua calon pilihan raya mata yang akan dapat melihat melampaui masalah di negara kami dan memahami keperluan rakyat. Terima kasih kerana memberi kami hati belas kasihan dan kasih karunia supaya kami dapat berdoa untuk mereka. Amin!

Perkara Doa:

  1. Hari ini adalah pengesahan untuk penamaan calon-calon PRU-15. Kami mungkin tidak tahu dan mengenal latarbelakang setiap calon secara terperinci, tetapi Engkau sudah mengenal mereka. Kami berdoa agar mereka takut akan Tuhan dan bersedia menerima apa sahaja keputusan pada Hari Mengundi. Dalam dua minggu akan datang, kami berdoa untuk perlindungan secara fizikal dan kesihatan yang baik, semasa mereka berkempen.
  2. Berdoa agar Tuhan menyingkirkan titik-titik buta dalam pemimpin negara kita yang menghalang mereka daripada mengalami terang cahaya abadi dan kebenaran dalam Kristus Yesus.

Firman Harian:
Matius 9:37-38(TB) 37 Maka kata-Nya kepada murid-murid-Nya: "Tuaian memang banyak, tetapi pekerja sedikit. 38 Karena itu mintalah kepada tuan yang empunya tuaian, supaya Ia mengirimkan pekerja-pekerja untuk tuaian itu."

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, apabila kami merenungkan keperluan negara, kami melihat bahawa ia memerlukan lebih daripada kerajaan fizikal yang ideal. Sesungguhnya, bangsa ini sangat terdesak memerlukan Juruselamat, yang dengan rela turun dari syurga dan menjangkau hati manusia. Kerana kita tahu bahawa hati lebih licik daripada segala-galanya dan sangat sakit, siapa yang dapat memahaminya. Oleh itu, kami dengan rendah hati datang dan yakin dengan firman-Mu, “Tuhan, utuslah pekerja-pekerja untuk tuaian-Mu.” Amin.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Gereja mengenal dengan pasti isi hati Tuhan Penuaian, dan melengkapi umatnya dengan dasar Firman Tuhan, supaya umat Tuhan akan mempunyai perspektif alkitabiah yang betul dan melihat dunia, melalui fikiran Kristus.
  2. Berdoa agar mereka yang akan bertanding untuk kerusi Parlimen yang tersedia untuk pilihan raya akan datang adalah lelaki dan wanita yang memahami penderitaan fizikal rakyat, dan bersedia untuk mencari dan secara aktif menyediakan penyelesaian mengikut kapasiti mereka untuk kesejahteraan setiap orang terutamanya untuk orang di kawasan pilihan raya masing-masing yang mereka telah dipilih untuk berkhidmat.

 

Hari ke-17 (Isnin, 7 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Keluaran 18:25(TB) 25 Dari seluruh orang Israel Musa memilih orang-orang cakap dan mengangkat mereka menjadi kepala atas bangsa itu, menjadi pemimpin seribu orang, pemimpin seratus orang, pemimpin lima puluh orang dan pemimpin sepuluh orang.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, melalui arahan yang diberikan kepada Musa oleh bapa mertuanya, Engkau telah menunjukkan kepada kami cara memilih pemimpin dan kualiti kepimpinan yang Engkau cari. Membolehkan kami, sebagai rakyat Malaysia, membuat pertimbangan yang wajar apabila kami mengundi calon di kawasan masing-masing. Jauhkan kami daripada hujah yang sia-sia, tetapi bimbinglah kami untuk membuang undi dengan bijak dan bijaksana demi kesejahteraan negara kami bagi generasi akan datang. Amin.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Gereja membantu mewujudkan dan mengukuhkan kesedaran dan tanggungjawab sivik di kalangan jemaat mereka, berhubung dengan golongan muda. Tuhan, kurniakan kebijaksanaan kepada para pemimpin gereja untuk menjalankan kepimpinan yang bijaksana dan benar apabila mereka berkongsi dengan ahli mereka mengenai isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan politik dan keprihatinan sosial. Gereja mesti ingat untuk kekal tidak berpolitik.
  2. Berdoa agar semua rakyat Malaysia dapat mengatasi sentimen perkauman dan bebas daripada ikatan emosi dan apabila mereka bersedia untuk mengundi, mereka akan mengambil kira calon yang telah menunjukkan kecekapan, keadilan dan kejujuran.

 

Hari ke-18 (Selasa, 8 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Mazmur 127:1-2(TB) 1.Nyanyian ziarah Salomo. Jikalau bukan TUHAN yang membangun rumah, sia-sialah usaha orang yang membangunnya; jikalau bukan TUHAN yang mengawal kota, sia-sialah pengawal berjaga-jaga.
2 Sia-sialah kamu bangun pagi-pagi dan duduk-duduk sampai jauh malam, dan makan roti yang diperoleh dengan susah payah sebab Ia memberikannya kepada yang dicintai-Nya pada waktu tidur.

Respon Doa: Tuhan, kami berterima kasih kerana menjaga negara kami, dan mengambil kekecewaan kami apabila kami melihat ketidakcekapan pemimpin negara kami. Firman-Mu telah memberikan kami jaminan yang luarbiasa tentang kehadiran keagungan-Mu di negara kami. Anugerah-Mu bagi kami semua adalah di luar jangkaan dan kami tahu apa sahaja yang kami cuba lakukan dengan kekuatan kami sendiri, kami tidak akan dapat mencapainya.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Gereja akan terus menjadi penjaga yang setia atas negara dengan sikap menyerahkan diri kita kepada-Nya supaya kita dapat mengetahui kehendak-Nya.
  2. Berdoalah agar semua pihak dalam tempoh berkempen akan cuba mengatasi satu sama lain dengan manifesto mereka, semoga Engkau Ya Tuhan memberikan pengundi hikmat kebijaksanaan untuk mencari kebenaran dan mengundi dengan betul.

 

Hari ke-19 (Rabu, 9 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Mazmur 121:1-2(TB) 1 Nyanyian ziarah. Aku melayangkan mataku ke gunung-gunung; dari manakah akan datang pertolonganku? 2 Pertolonganku ialah dari TUHAN, yang menjadikan langit dan bumi.

Respon Doa : Tuhan Yesus, Engkaulah sumber pertolongan dan kekuatan kami. Kami meletakan harapan kami kepada-Mu agar apa sahaja perubahan yang datang dengan PRU15, ia tidak akan menjauhkan kami atau mengganggu kami daripada melakukan yang terbaik. Sistem duniawi atau bahkan Gereja mungkin mengecewakan kami, tetapi Engkau tidak akan mengecewakan kami. Engkau yang mengawasi kami tidak akan mengantuk, dan itulah jaminan dan penghiburan terbesar yang kami miliki di dalam Engkau. Amin.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar umat Tuhan menumpukan kepada Kerajaan dan berkhidmat dengan pemikiran syurgawi, supaya apa jua perubahan yang berlaku tidak menjejaskan kami untuk berdoa bagi negara dan kerajaannya.
  2. Doakan rakyat di luar bandar Semenanjung, Sabah dan Sarawak agar tidak terpengaruh dengan politik wang yang banyak dilaksanakan melalui jentera pilihan raya. Doakan agar selaput mata mereka ditanggalkan untuk melihat melalui penipuan yang akan bersinar dan menjejaskan keputusan mereka.

 

Hari ke-20 (Khamis, 10 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Amsal 15:3(TB) 3 Mata TUHAN ada di segala tempat, mengawasi orang jahat dan orang baik.

Respon Doa:Tuhan Yesus, apabila kita memasuki tempoh berkempen, ramai yang akan cuba sedaya upaya untuk mempengaruhi pengundi dengan manifesto mereka. Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar Gereja, agen perubahan, mempamerkan kebijaksanaan Tuhan di hadapan dunia. Ingatlah bahawa kita telah dipanggil untuk menjadi garam dan terang dunia.
  2. Berdoa agar semangat kejujuran dapat diutamakan dalam PRU15. Berdoa agar manifesto yang dirangka dan dipersetujui oleh pelbagai parti komponen adalah benar dan boleh dicapai tanpa sebarang agenda tersembunyi.

Firman Harian:
Filipi 4:6-7(TB) 6Janganlah hendaknya kamu kuatir tentang apa pun juga, tetapi nyatakanlah dalam segala hal keinginanmu kepada Allah dalam doa dan permohonan dengan ucapan syukur. 7 Damai sejahtera Allah, yang melampaui segala akal, akan memelihara hati dan pikiranmu dalam Kristus Yesus.

Respon Doa: Ya Tuhan, apabila Hari Mengundi semakin hampir, ramai di antara kami akan diselubungi oleh kebimbangan. Tempoh berkempen juga boleh menjadi tegang kerana ahli politik akan cuba mengatasi satu sama lain di kawasan masing-masing. Doa kami adalah agar kedamaian Tuhan terus dinyatakan di seluruh negara, walaupun media telah menekankan bahawa PRU-15 akan menjadi “Ibu” kepada semua pilihan raya. 11 月 5 日是第15届大选的提名日，那时我们将会见到所有的候选人。在第 37 节中，耶稣强调了庄稼多而工人少的极大差距，这是为了提醒我们，世界需要遵守神诫命的男女来参与收割祂的庄稼。在第 36 节中，祂也提到人们所处的境况，就是困苦和流离，极度渴望有怜悯心的领袖来牧养他们。

那么，我们对第15届大选的候选人有什么期望呢？

马来西亚是一个多元宗教和种族的国家，我们期盼候选人都是敬畏神，同时具备履行职责所需的领导才能。我们祷告他们能以真理、正义和正直为人民服务。他们的心渴望重建我们所挚爱的国家，他们的生命应该成为后代效仿的榜样。

当我们进入第三周灵修时，再次提醒我们，唯有耶稣基督的教会能为国家带来真正的盼望，因为只有祂的政权才能以爱、恩典和怜悯填补一切的空缺。因此，我们需要不断的与神对齐，并聆听祂对马来西亚国家的心意！

 

第 15 天（2022 年 11 月 5 日，星期六）

回应祷告 :主耶稣，求袮帮助候选人能以怜悯和同理心对待投票给他们的选民。求袮赐给候选人们超越国家问题，洞悉人民需要的眼光。感谢袮赐给我们充满怜悯和恩典的心，使我们能站在破口中，为他们守望代求。阿门！

祷告事项：

  1. 今天，第15届大选的候选人已经尘埃落定了。我们可能不懂得每个候选人的详情，但我们已经开始认识他们了。求神赐给他们敬畏神的心，并在投票日接受任何的结果。在接下来的两周里，求神保守候选人在竞选期间能有健康的身体。
  2. 求神除去国家领导人的盲点，因这些盲点拦阻他们在基督耶稣里经历永恒的光和真理。

回应祷告：主耶稣，当我们在琢磨国家的需要时，我们看到国家不仅需要好的政府，更是迫切需要一位救主，祂愿意从天上伸出双手，及至触动人们的心灵。因为人心比万物都诡诈，甚至病入膏肓，谁能侧透呢？因此，我们谦卑地以袮的话语祷告说，“主啊，求袮差遣工人出去，收割袮的庄稼。”阿门。

祷告事项：

  1. 求神帮助教会能了解收割之主的心意，并以神的话语来装备祂的子民，使他们拥有正确的属灵观，能透过基督的眼光来看世界。
  2. 为那些即将出来竞选国会议席的候选人祷告，求神帮助他们能感同身受地了解人间疾苦，并在他们的能力范围内，为选区的人民提供解决方案，以确保人民的福利。

回应祷告：亲爱的主耶稣，透过摩西的岳父给他的指示，袮向我们展示了袮对领袖素质的要求，使我们晓得如何选出好的领袖。帮助身为马来西亚公民的我们，在投票给各选区的候选人时，能做出正确的判断。让我们远离毫无益处的争论，但引导我们为子孙后代的益处，明智而谨慎地投出手中一票。阿门。

回应祷告 :主啊，感谢袮一直眷顾和保守着我们的国家，并挪去我们对不够格的国家领导层所带给我们的挫败感。袮的话给了我们奇妙的确据，即袮永远与我们的国家同在。袮所供应的，远超过我们所期待的。我们知道，若是靠自己的能力，是无法完成这些事。

祷告要点：

  1. 求神帮助教会愿意降服于神，以晓得神的心意，继续忠心地为国家守望。
  2. 祷告在竞选期间，所有政党都试图以竞选宣言与对手竞争，求主赐予选民有辨别能力，寻求符合事实的真相，并依据此投出手中的一票。

诗篇 121: 1-2 我要向山举目。我的帮助从何而来。我的帮助从造天地的耶和华而来。

回应祷告：主耶稣，袮是我们的帮助和力量。我们的盼望在于袮，无论第15届大选的结果带来任何的改变，都不会影响我们全力尽上本分。世俗的制度甚至教会都可能会让我们失望，但袮总不离弃我们。保护我们的并不打盹，那是我们在你里面最大的确据和安慰。阿门。

祷告要点：

  1. 求神帮助祂的子民以神的国度为中心，以天国的价值观来服侍，如此一来，无论政局如何改变，都不会影响我们继续委身于国家和政府祷告。

சங் 121:1-2 எனக்கு ஒத்தாசை வரும் பர்வதங்களுக்கு நேராக என் கண்களை ஏறெடுக்கிறேன். வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உண்டாக்கின கர்த்தரிடத்திலிருந்து எனக்கு ஒத்தாசை வரும்.

ஜெபம் : கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவே, நீரே எங்கள் சகாயத்திற்கும் பெலத்திற்கும் ஆதாரம். எங்கள் நம்பிக்கையை நங்கூரமாகிய உம்மில் வைக்கிறோம், அதினால் இந்த 15வது பொதுத்தேர்தலின் விளைவாக எந்த மாற்றம் நிகழ்ந்தாலும் அது எங்களை திசை திருப்பாது மற்றும் நாங்கள் தொடர்ந்து சிறப்பாக செய்கிற எங்கள் வேலையிலிருந்து கவனத்தை திருப்பாது. உலக அமைப்புகள் அல்லது சபையும்கூட எங்களை தோல்வியடையச் செய்யலாம் ஆனால் நீரோ ஒருநாளும் எங்களை தோற்றுப்போக விடுவதில்லை. எங்களைக் காக்கிற நீர் ஒருபோதும் உறங்குவதில்லை என்பதே உமக்குள் நாங்கள் கொண்டிருக்கிற மிகப்பெரிய நிச்சயம் ஆகும். ஆமென்.

பிலி 4:6-7 நீங்கள் ஒன்றுக்குங் கவலைப்படாமல், எல்லாவற்றையுங்குறித்து உங்கள் விண்ணப்பங்களை ஸ்தோத்திரத்தோடே கூடிய ஜெபத்தினாலும் வேண்டுதலினாலும் தெரியப்படுத்துங்கள். அப்பொழுது, எல்லாப் புத்திக்கும் மேலான தேவசமாதானம் உங்கள் இருதயங்களையும் உங்கள் சிந்தைகளையும் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள்ளாகக் காத்துக்கொள்ளும்

Week 4 (12 Nov - 20 Nov 2022): Polling Day and Beyond
Weekly scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Weekly scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

As we enter into the final week towards GE-15, we can expect and experience the intensity of the election campaign before we reach Polling Day on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

How and why do we vote will determine the direction of the nation for the next five (5) years. If you are concern for the future of the nation, then you must exercise your democratic right by going out to vote regardless of the alarming weather conditions.

GE-15 to many of us is like running a marathon, and as God’s people we are at the last leg of the race, looking forward to cross the finishing line. We have for the last 21 days been upholding this event in prayer. This election has been considered as the Mother of all elections and as God’s people we need to stay focus and remain faithful to the end.

Our final day of prayer will be Sunday, November 20, 2022 as we shall witness the Lord, unfolding His handiwork for the nation. Just as Paul expressed this desire to his spiritual son Timothy, the same would also be echoed by us and that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

We want to thank you for your partnership through this prayer vigil. It has indeed been a blessing and assurance from our God, that He cares for us and His desire is for the common good of everyone.

Day 22 (Sat, 12 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Nehemiah 8:2-3 So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month. And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, the future of our nation is in Your sovereign hands. We want to draw close to You through Your word and not be distracted by the circumstances that surround us. Let our ears be attentive to hear Your still small voice speaking to us, for as our faith increases each day, we will have the courage to face whatever the outcome may be.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that God would take away the anxiety that could create confusion and disrupt us to enjoy His presence in our lives.
  2. We pray for Parliamentary candidates who know the Lord, that they will be forgiving and gracious when they face accusation and criticism for their faith and good works.

 

Day 23 (Sun, 13 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
 Nehemiah 8:5-6 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was above all the people, and as he opened it all the people stood. And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and all the people answered, “Amen, Amen,” lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

Prayer Response: Today is the last Sunday before Polling Day on November 19. Just like the people heard the word and bow their heads to worship You, we in the corporate agreement will lift up our holy hands, pray and affirm Amen, Amen. Christians throughout the nation must remember that your duty is to cast your vote not for yourselves but for your children and grandchildren.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would be reminded of her role to be responsible citizens and make effort to encourage each other to exercise their democratic right to vote rather than to moan and groan about the country.
  2. Pray that Parliament will be filled with statesmen of integrity that are compassionate for the poor and needy. They are expected to be kind to the people that are marginalized as well.

 

Day 24 (Mon, 14 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Isaiah 32:15-17 until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is deemed a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field. And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.

Prayer Response: When the Holy Spirit is poured out, what was barren and desolate before, will become full of life and fruitfulness. True fruitfulness comes from the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The church has been crying out for revival for she desires to be given the opportunity to shape the destiny of our nation. When that happens, the land will be filled with peace, righteousness and justice.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church would help create and strengthen civic awareness and responsibilities among their congregations, in relation to the young people. The newly elected leaders will rid corruption that has over many years now permeated through every segment of the society.
  2. Lord, grant wisdom to church leaders to exercise prudent and righteous leadership when they share with their members about issues relating to politics and social concern. The church must continue to remain apolitical as she is to be the salt and light to this nation.

 

Day 25 (Tue, 15 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Psalm 112:1-3 Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, we thank you for Your provision of natural resources for our nation and we observe with frustrations when the incompetency of our national leaders, plunder the resources for their selfish gain. Our prayer is that You raise competent statesmen of integrity, who will administer the allocation of the nation’s resources and funds without bias to any sector of the population. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church will continue to be faithful watchmen over the nation and not fearful to speak up when national leaders do not walk their talk.
  2. Pray that all parties after the campaigning period will address the economic crisis and make attempts to stabilize the Malaysian currency that has spiralled downwards. This in turn has created inflation and hardship especially to the marginal poor.

 

Day 26 (Wed, 16 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
James 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Hebrews 13:16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Prayer Response: Lord Jesus, You are the source of our help and strength. The church must remember that she has been called to care for the orphans and widows in their affliction, and this is where she is dependent upon You. Unless we abide in You, whatever good works that we do will never be sustainable.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the people of God will treat everyone with respect and dignity. Whatever we do would be for the good of mankind. Our God reminded His people (Israelites) how to treat the sojourners as they were once like them when they were in Egypt. Likewise, we must be compassionate to the struggles that our migrants face when they are living among us.
  2. Every child of God should be kingdom-focused and serve to fight for justice for the poor and marginalized. We should not compromise our fundamental values to get ahead.

 

Day 27 (Thu, 17 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Romans 12:11-12 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
John 9:4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work

Prayer Response: The warning against complacency and slothfulness is something which we must seriously take heed. No doubt we need to undergird with prayer as the days ahead are evil. We are also challenged by the Lord to keep working for when night comes, no one can work. The urgency to do the Lord’s work must continue as long as the doors are kept open. Let us pray to align to God’s heartbeat and know His direction for us. Amen.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray for our nation’s future for the sake of our children and grandchildren. Not only do we pray but we must go out to vote to walk our talk. Remember, the young will be watching us on whether we demonstrate our authentic leadership on such matters.
  2. Pray that elected leaders will be godly people who will fear God and shun evil. Their mindset and convictions would be for the good of the Rakyat regardless of their race and religion.

 

Day 28 (Fri, 18 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Psalm 144:12 May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace;
1 Timothy 4:12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Prayer Response: The GE-15 will have a substantial group of youth below 30 who are eligible to vote. They may not fully understand the intricacies of politics and can be swayed by politicians and friends. Pray that they will understand that casting their votes is for the future (next 5 years) and it should not be taken lightly. We must continue to encourage them as some are expected to be the future leaders for the nation.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Church, who receive the surpassing understanding from the Lord, would continue to inspire peace into our conversations. Let us continue to speak blessings upon all people.
  2. Many Malaysians would base their voting decisions on feedback through the daily news and commentaries. Pray against any deceptive spirit that tries to deceive the minds of the people and voters, that in some way will discourage them to go out and exercise their voting rights.

 

Day 29 (Sat, 19 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
1 Peter 2:13-17 Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

Prayer Response: Today is Polling Day and we have the liberty to elect leaders as voting is within the right of each citizen. To vote means we are aware that we need to stand up and be counted. How we exercise this right is for the sake of the generations to come, therefore we seek wisdom from You to cast our vote wisely.

Prayer Points:

  1. Joshua of old was told about the Book of the Law and that he was not to turn from it to the right hand or to the left, so that he may have good success wherever he goes. Likewise, we should have determined whom we desire to vote when we arrive at the polling counter and carry out our action with a good conscience.
  2. Continue to pray for peace and good weather throughout the whole process of Polling Day. Pray against any violence and disruption that the enemy may have planned. Remember those who are involved in the election processes, that they will find good rest for faithfully discharging their responsibilities.

 

Day 30 (Sun, 20 Nov 2022)

Daily Scripture:
Romans 13:1-2 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

Prayer Response: There will be many unanswered questions when the election results are finally revealed. How we view the results will depend on the maturity of our faith, for we had desired from the start that God’s will be done. We need to pray and accept the outcome and know what has happened will be a new beginning for the Lord to work in us. Please pray to seek the peace of the nation as we have been called to contribute to nation building and serve the community.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that we will not be emotionally affected by the results of the election, neither do we build a suspicious spirit that will dampen us to serve the Lord diligently.
  2. Pray for the Lord’s comfort for those who were not elected that they will have the right perspective to rebuild the nation.

Firman Mingguan: 1 Timotius 1:1-2 Pertama-tama aku menasihatkan: Naikkanlah permohonan, doa syafaat dan ucapan syukur untuk semua orang, untuk raja-raja dan untuk semua pembesar, agar kita dapat hidup tenang dan tenteram dalam segala kesalehan dan kehormatan.

Ketika kita memasuki minggu yang terakhir Pilihanraya Umum-15, kita boleh menjangkakan dan mengalami kehebatan kempen pilihanraya sebelum kita sampai ke Hari Mengundi pada hari Sabtu, November 19, 2022.

Bagaimana dan mengapa kita mengundi akan menentukan hala tuju negara untuk lima (5) tahun yang akan datang. Jika anda prihatin terhadap masa depan negara, maka anda harus menunaikan hak demokrasi anda dengan keluar untuk mengundi tanpa mengira keadaan cuaca yang merisaukan.

PRU-15 bagi kebanyakan kita adalah seperti larian maraton, dan sebagai umat Tuhan kita berada di pusingan terakhir perlumbaan, tidak sabar-sabar untuk melepasi garisan penamat. Selama 21 hari yang lepas kita telah mengangkat perkara ini dalam doa. Pilihanraya ini telah dilihat sebagai Ibu segala pilihanraya dan sebagai umat Tuhan kita perlu tetap berfokus dan kekal setia sampai akhir.

Hari terakhir doa kita ialah hari Ahad, November 20, 2022 saat kita akan menyaksikan Tuhan menunjukkan pekerjaan-Nya bagi negara ini. Sepertimana Paulus menyatakan kerinduan ini kepada anak rohaninya Timotius, hal yang sama akan digemakan oleh kita dan agar kita dapat menjalani kehidupan yang damai dan tenang, saleh dan bermaruah dalam segala hal.

Kami ingin mengucapkan terima kasih atas kebersamaan anda melalui doa berjaga-jaga ini. Sesungguhnya, ia merupakan berkat dan keyakinan daripada Tuhan kita bahawa Dia peduli kita dan kerinduan-Nya ialah kebaikan bersama untuk setiap orang.

Firman Harian:
Nehemia 8:2-3 maka serentak berkumpullah seluruh rakyat di halaman di depan pintu gerbang Air. Mereka meminta kepada Ezra, ahli kitab itu, supaya ia membawa kitab Taurat Musa, yakni kitab hukum yang diberikan TUHAN kepada Israel. Lalu pada hari pertama bulan yang ketujuh itu imam Ezra membawa kitab Taurat itu ke hadapan jemaah, yakni baik laki-laki maupun perempuan dan setiap orang yang dapat mendengar dan mengerti.

Respon Doa: Tuhan Yesus, masa depan negara kami di tangan-Mu yang berdalulat. Kami ingin mendekatkan diri kepada Engkau melalui Firman-Mu dan tidak akan terganggu oleh keadaan sekitar kami. Kami mohon agar telinga kami peka mendengar suara kecil dan lemah-lembut daripada Engkau yang berbicara kepada kami kerana apabila iman kami bertambah setiap hari, kami akan mempunyai keberanian menghadapi apa pun keputusannya.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Tuhan menghilangkan kebimbangan yang boleh menimbulkan kekeliruan dan mengganggu kita untuk menikmati hadirat-Nya dalam hidup kita.
  2. Kita mendoakan calon-calon Parlimen yang kenal akan Tuhan agar mereka mengampuni dan pemurah ketikan menghadapi tuduhan dan kritik atas iman dan perbuatan baik mereka.

Di sisinya sebelah kanan berdiri Matica, Sema, Anaya, Uria, Hilkia dan Maaseya, sedang di sebelah kiri berdiri Pedaya, Misael, Malkia, Hasum, Hasbadana, Zakharia dan Mesulam. Ezra membuka kitab itu di depan mata seluruh umat, karena ia berdiri lebih tinggi dari semua orang itu. Pada waktu ia membuka kitab itu semua orang bangkit berdiri.

Respon Doa: Hari ini ialah hari Ahad yang terakhir sebelum Hari Mengundi pada November 19. Sama seperti orang-orang mendengar Firman dan menundukkan kepala mereka untuk menyembah-Mu, kita dalam kesepakatan bersama akan mengangkat tangan kudus kita, berdoa dan meneguhkan Amen, Amen. Orang-orang Kristian di seluruh negara harus ingat bahawa tugas anda ialah mengundi bukan untuk diri anda tetapi bagi anak-anak dan cucu-cicit anda.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Gereja diingatkan sebagai rakyat yang bertanggungjawab dan berusaha saling mendorong untuk menggunakan hak demokrasi mengundi dan bukannya mengeluh tentang negara.
  2. Berdoa agar Parlimen dipenuhi dengan negarawan yang berintegriti dan berbelas kasihan kepada golongan miskin dan yang memerlukan. Mereka juga diharapkan agar bermurah hati kepada rakyat yang terpinggir.

 

Hari 24 (Isnin, 14 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Yesaya 32:15-17 Sampai dicurahkan kepada kita Roh dari atas: Maka padang gurun akan menjadi kebun buah-buahan, dan kebun buah-buahan itu akan dianggap hutan. Di padang gurun selalu akan berlaku keadilan dan di kebun buah-buahan akan tetap ada kebenaran. Di mana ada kebenaran di situ akan tumbuh damai sejahtera, dan akibat kebenaran ialah ketenangan dan ketenteraman untuk selama-lamanya.

Respon Doa: Apabila Roh Kudus dicurahkan, apa yang dahulunya tandus dan sunyi akan menjadi penuh dengan kehidupan dan berbuah. Buah yang benar berasal daripada pencurahan Roh Kudus. Gereja telah menangis untuk kebangkitan kerana merindukan diberi kesempatan untuk membentuk destini negara kita. Ketika itu berlaku, nagara akan dipenuhi dengan kedamaian, kebenaran dan keadilan.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Gereja membantu mewujudkan dan mengukuhkan kesedaran dan tanggungjawab sivik di kalangan jemaah mereka, berhubung dengan golongan muda. Pemimpin yang baru dipilih akan menghapuskan rasuah yang telah meresap selama bertahun-tahun di setiap segmen masyarakat.
  2. Tuhan, mengaruniakan hikmat kepada para pemimpin gereja untuk menjalankan kepimpinan yang bijaksana dan benar apabila mereka berkongsi dengan teman-teman mereka tentang isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan politik dan sosial. Gereja harus terus kekal tidak berpolitik kerana Gereja ialah garam dan terang untuk negara ini.

 

Hari 25 (Selasa, 15 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Mazmur 112:1-3 Haleluya! Berbahagialah orang yang takut akan TUHAN, yang sangat suka kepada segala perintah-Nya.Anak cucunya akan perkasa di bumi; angkatan orang benar akan diberkati. Harta dan kekayaan ada dalam rumahnya, kebajikannya tetap untuk selamanya.

Respon Doa: Tuhan, kami berterima kasih kepada-Mu atas penyediaan sumber semulajadi untuk negara kami dan kami perhatikan dengan kekecewaan apabila ketidakcekapan pemimpin negara kami merampas sumber-sumber untuk kepentingan diri mereka sendiri. Doa kami ialah Engkau bangkitkan negawaran berintegriti yang cekap yang akan mentadbir peruntukan sumber dan dana negara tanpa berat sebelah kepada mana-mana sektor penduduk.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Gereja tetap menjadi penjaga yang setia kepada negara dan tidak takut untuk bersuara apabila pemimpin negara tidak mengikut cakap mereka.
  2. Berdoa agar semua pihak selepas tempoh berkempen akan menangani krisis ekonomi dan berusaha menstabilkan mata wang Malaysia yang sudah semakin menurun. Ini seterusnya telah mewujudkan inflasi dan kesusahan terutamanya kepada golongan miskin terpinggir.

 

Hari 26 (Rabu, 16 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Yakobus 1:27 Ibadah yang murni dan yang tak bercacat di hadapan Allah, Bapa kita, ialah mengunjungi yatim piatu dan janda-janda dalam kesusahan mereka, dan menjaga supaya dirinya sendiri tidak dicemarkan oleh dunia.
Ibrani 13:16 Dan janganlah kamu lupa berbuat baik dan memberi bantuan, sebab korban-korban yang demikianlah yang berkenan kepada Allah.

Respon Doa : Tuhan Yesus. Engkaulah Sumber pertolongan dan kekuatan kami. Gereja harus ingat bahawa ia telah dipanggil untuk menjaga anak yatim dan balu dalam penderitaan mereka, dan di sinilah ia bergantung kepada Engkau. Melainkan kami tinggal di dalam Engkau, apa pun perbuatan baik yang kami lakukan tidak akan kekal.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar umat Tuhan memperlakukan semua orang dengan hormat dan bermaruah. Apa pun yang kita lakukan adalah untuk kebaikan manusia. Tuhan kita mengingatkan umat-Nya (Israel) bagaimana memperlakukan orang asing seperti dulu ketika mereka berada di Mesir. Demikian juga, kita mesti berbelas kasihan terhadap perjuangan yang dihadapi para migran kita ketika mereka tinggal antara kita.
  2. Setiap anak Tuhan harus fokus pada kerajaan dan melayani memperjuangkan keadilan bagi orang miskin dan yang terpinggirkan. Kita tidak boleh berkompromi dengan nilai-nilai teras kita untuk maju.

 

Hari 27 (Khamis, 17 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Roma 12:11-12 Janganlah hendaknya kerajinanmu kendor, biarlah rohmu menyala-nyala dan layanilah Tuhan. Bersukacitalah dalam pengharapan, sabarlah dalam kesesakan, dan bertekunlah dalam doa!
Yohanes 9:4 Kita harus mengerjakan pekerjaan Dia yang mengutus Aku, selama masih siang; akan datang malam, di mana tidak ada seorangpun yang dapat bekerja.

Respon Doa: Amaran terhadap sikap puas diri dan kemalasan adalah sesuatu yang harus kita perhatikan dengan serius. Tidak diragukan lagi kita perlu mendukung dengan doa kerana hari-hari depan adalah jahat. Kita juga ditantang oleh Tuhan untuk tetap bekerja kerana ketika malam tiba, tidak ada yang dapat bekerja. Keterdesakan untuk melakukan pekerjaan Tuhan mesti berterusan selagi pintu-pintu masih terbuka. Marilah kita berdoa untuk menyelaraskan diri kita kepada degupan hati Tuhan dan mengetahui arah-Nya untuk kita.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Doakan masa depan negara kita demi anak cucu kita. Bukan sekadar berdoa tetapi kita harus keluar mengundi untuk menghidupi apa yang kita katakan. Ingat, golongan muda akan memerhatikan kita samada kita meunjukkan kepimpinan kita yang autentik ke atas perkara sebegini.
  2. Berdoa agar pemimpin yang dipilih adalah orang yang takut akan Tuhan dan menjauhi kejahatan. Pemikiran dan keyakinan mereka adalah untuk kebaikan rakyat tanpa mengira bangsa dan agama mereka.

 

Hari 28 (Jumaat, 18 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Mazmur 144:12 Semoga anak-anak lelaki kita seperti tanam-tanaman yang tumbuh menjadi besar pada waktu mudanya; dan anak-anak perempuan kita seperti tiang-tiang penjuru, yang dipahat untuk bangunan istana!
1 Timotius 4:12 Jangan seorangpun menganggap engkau rendah karena engkau muda. Jadilah teladan bagi orang-orang percaya, dalam perkataanmu, dalam tingkah lakumu, dalam kasihmu, dalam kesetiaanmu dan dalam kesucianmu.

Respon Doa: PRU-15 mempunyai sekumpulan besar belia di bawah umur 30 tahun yang layak mengundi. Mereka mungkin tidak memahami sepenuhnya selok-belok politik dan boleh dipengaruhi oleh ahli politik dan rakan-rakan. Doakan agar mereka faham bahawa memberi undi mereka adalah untuk masa depan (5 tahun ke depan) dan ia tidak boleh dipandang ringan. Kita mesti terus mendorong mereka kerana ada yang diharapkan menjadi pemimpin masa depan untuk negara.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoa agar Gereja memiliki peranan dalam menasihati mereka yang baru pertama kali mengundi tentang bagaimana mereka harus mengundi. Mereka harus melaksanakan hak mereka dengan keyakinan dan keberanian yang kuat meskipun pilihan ada di tangan mereka.
  2. Dengan usia pengundi yang memenuhi syarat sekarang adalah 18 tahun, jangan ada orang yang meremehkan belia kita kerana masa depan mereka sekarang bergantung kepada peti undi. Berdoa untuk hikmat daripada Tuhan ketika mereka melaksanakan hak mereka.

 

Hari 29 (Sabtu, 19 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
1 Petrus 2:13-17 Tunduklah, karena Allah, kepada semua lembaga manusia, baik kepada raja sebagai pemegang kekuasaan yang tertinggi, maupun kepada wali-wali yang diutusnya untuk menghukum orang-orang yang berbuat jahat dan menghormati orang-orang yang berbuat baik. Sebab inilah kehendak Allah, yaitu supaya dengan berbuat baik kamu membungkamkan kepicikan orang-orang yang bodoh. Hiduplah sebagai orang merdeka dan bukan seperti mereka yang menyalahgunakan kemerdekaan itu untuk menyelubungi kejahatan-kejahatan mereka, tetapi hiduplah sebagai hamba Allah. Hormatilah semua orang, kasihilah saudara-saudaramu, takutlah akan Allah, hormatilah raja!

Respon Doa: Hari ini ialah Hari Mengundi dan kita mempunyai kebebasan untuk memilih pemimpin kerana pengundian adalah hak setiap rakyat. Untuk mengundi bermakna kita sedar bahawa kita perlu bangkit dan dikira. Bagaimana kita menggunakan hak ini adalah demi generasi yang akan datang, oleh itu kami mohon hikmat daripada Engkau untuk megundi dengan bijak.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Yosua pada zaman dahulu diberitahu tentang kitab Taurat dan bahawa dia jangan menyimpang ke kanan atau ke kiri, supaya dia beruntung, ke manapun dia pergi. Begitu juga, kita sepatutnya sudah menentukan siapa yang ingin kita undikan apabila kita sampai di kaunter mengundi dan melaksanakan tindakan kita dengan hati nurani yang baik.
  2. Terus berdoa untuk kedamaian dan cuaca yang baik sepanjang seluruh proses Hari Mengundi. Berdoalah melawan segala kekerasan dan gangguan yang mungkin dirancang oleh musuh. Ingatlah mereka yang terlibat dalam proses pemilihan agar mereka menemukan istirahat yang baik untuk menjalankan tanggungjawab mereka dengan setia.

 

Hari 30 (Ahad, 20 Nov 2022)

Firman Harian:
Roma 13:1-2 Tiap-tiap orang harus takluk kepada pemerintah yang di atasnya, sebab tidak ada pemerintah, yang tidak berasal dari Allah; dan pemerintah-pemerintah yang ada, ditetapkan oleh Allah. Sebab itu barangsiapa melawan pemerintah, ia melawan ketetapan Allah dan siapa yang melakukannya, akan mendatangkan hukuman atas dirinya.

Respon Doa: Akan adanya banyak pertanyaan yang tidak terjawab ketika keputusan pilihanraya yang akhirnya akan diumumkan. Bagaimana kita melihat keputusan itu bergantung kepada kedewasaan iman kita kerana kita telah menginginkan sejak awal bahawa kehendak Tuhan yang terjadi. Kita perlu berdoa dan menerima keputusan dan mengetahui apa yang telah terjadi akan menjadi permulaan yang baharu bagi Tuhan bekerja di dalam kita. Mohon berdoa untuk kedamaian negara kerana kita dipanggil untuk menyumbang kepada pembangunan negara dan berkhidmat kepada maysarakat.

Perkara Doa:

  1. Berdoalah agar kita tidak terpengaruh secara emosi oleh keputusan pilihanraya dan jangan pula membina semangat yang mencurigakan yang akan melemahkan kita untuk melayani Tuhan dengan tekunnya.
  2. Berdoa untuk penghiburan daripada Tuhan bagi mereka yang tidak dipilih agar mereka memiliki perspektif yang tepat untuk membina semula negara.

每周经文：马太福音9:36-38

提摩太前书 2:1-2 我劝你第一要为万人恳求祷告，代求，祝谢。为君王和一切在位的也该如此。使我们可以敬虔端正，平安无事的度日。

我们就要进入 第15届大选的最后一周了，在 2022 年 11 月 19 日（星期六）投票日到来之前，我们以期待的心情来体验激烈的竞选活动。

我们如何及为何要投票将决定国家未来五 (5) 年的方向。如果我们关心国家的未来，那么，无论是怎么样的天气，我们都必须去投票，行使我们的民主权利。

第15届大选对许多人来说就像跑马拉松，我们正处于比赛的最后阶段，期待着越过终点线。在过去的 21 天里，我们一直都在为大选祷告。这次的选举被称为选举之母，作为神国的子民，我们需要保持专注并忠心到底。

我们为大选守望祷告的最后一天是 2022 年 11 月 20 日（星期日），到时我们将见证神的作为在其中。正如保罗向他属灵的儿子提摩太所表达的一样，我们也有同样的渴望，就是可以敬虔端正，平安无事的度日。

我们要感谢你在这次的守望祷告中与我们一起并肩做战。这确实是从神而来的祝福和确据，就是祂关心我们，同时渴望看到每个人的共同利益被照顾。

愿神大大的赐福于你。

 

第 22 天（2022 年 11 月 12 日，星期六）

每日经文:
尼希米记 8:2-3 七月初一日，祭司以斯拉将律法书，带到听了能明白的男女会众面前。在水门前的宽阔处，从清早到晌午，在众男女，一切听了能明白的人面前读这律法书。众民侧耳而听。

回应祷告 : 主耶稣，国家的未来在祢至高无上的手中。我们渴望透过祢的话语与你亲近，不受周围环境的影响而分心。让我们的耳朵留心聆听祢微小的声音，随着每日增长的信心，我们将有勇气面对任何可能的结果。

祷告事项：

  1. 求神挪去焦虑可能带来的混乱和搅扰，使我们能享受祂的同在。
  2. 我们为那些认识神的国会议员祷告，当因信仰和善行而面临指责和批评时，他们愿意以宽恕和恩慈做为回应。

 

第 23 天（2022 年 11 月 13 日，星期日）

每日经文：
尼希米记 8:5-6以斯拉站在众民以上，在众民眼前展开这书。他一展开，众民就都站起来。以斯拉称颂耶和华至大的神。众民都举手应声说，阿们，阿们，就低头，面伏于地，敬拜耶和华。

回应祷告： 今天是投票日（11 月 19 日）前的最后一个星期日。就像众民听到祢的话语并俯伏敬拜一样，我们一致同心举起双手，祷告并回应阿门，阿门。全国的基督徒必须晓得，我们不但是为自己，更是为了下一代投出手中的一票。

祷告事项：

  1. 求神提醒教会作为负责任的公民应扮演的角色，彼此鼓励以行使民主的投票权，而不是继续埋怨和抱怨国家。
  2. 为国会坐满正直的议员祷告，他们怜悯穷人和有需要的人，同时期待他们也能善待那些被边缘化的人。

 

第 24 天（2022 年 11 月 14 日，星期一）

每日经文：
以赛亚书 32:15-17 等到圣灵从上浇灌我们，旷野就变为肥田，肥田看如树林。那时，公平要居在旷野，公义要居在肥田。公义的果效，必是平安。公义的效验，必是平稳，直到永远。

回应祷告： 当圣灵浇灌时，原本荒凉贫瘠的土地，必充满生机和硕果累累。真正的丰盛来自圣灵的浇灌。教会一直向神呼求复兴的到来，我们渴望国家能进入神的命定。如此一来，这片土地必将充满和平、正直和公义。

祷告事项：

  1. 祷告教会能帮助建立和加强年轻人的公民意识和责任感。 为新当选的领袖祷告，使他们能把多年来渗透到社会各阶层的贪污腐败根除。
  2. 主啊，赐给教会领袖智慧，能谨慎及公正地与会友们分享有关政治和社会关怀的议题。教会不要卷入政治立场的纷争，因为教会是国家的盐和光。

 

第 25 天（2022 年 11 月 15 日，星期二）

每日经文：
诗篇112：1-3 你们要赞美耶和华。敬畏耶和华，甚喜爱他命令的，这人便为有福。他的后裔在世必强盛。正直人的后代，必要蒙福。他家中有货物，有钱财。他的公义存到永远。

回应祷告 : 主啊，感谢祢为我们的国家提供了丰富的天然资源，当我们为不称职，掠夺国家资源以谋取私利的领袖而感到沮丧时，我们恳求祢兴起称职与正直的国家领袖，能稳妥，不偏袒地管理国家的资源和资金的分配。

祷告要点：

  1. 求神帮助教会能继续成为国家忠心的守望者，当国家领导人不以身作则时时，有勇气为正义发声。
  2. 祷告当竞选期结束后，各方都能着手解决经济危机，并努力稳住极速贬值的马币，因这已导致通货膨胀，尤其让处在贫穷边缘线上的人民更是陷入困境。

 

第 26 天（2022 年 11 月 16日，星期三）

每日经文：
雅各书 1:27 在神我们的父面前，那清洁没有玷污的虔诚，就是看顾在患难中的孤儿寡妇，并且保守自己不沾染世俗。
希伯来书 13:16 只是不可忘记行善，和捐输的事。因为这样的祭，是神所喜悦的。

回应祷告：主耶稣，我们的帮助和力量都是从祢而来。教会蒙召是要照顾受苦的孤儿和寡妇，因此，教会需要仰赖祢。除非我们住在祢里面，否则我们所做的任何善事都将不能持久。

祷告要点：

  1. 求神帮助祂的子民能尊重和顾及每个人的尊严。我们所做的一切都是为了他人的益处。上帝曾提醒祂的子民（以色列人）如何善待寄居者，就像他们曾经在埃及时一样。同样的，那些住在我们当中的移居者，在生活中面对许多的挣扎和挑战，我们应该善待他们。
  2. 神的儿女都应该以神的国度为中心，为穷人和被边缘化的人伸张公义。我们应该持守基本的价值观，不应该为了获得成功而做出妥协。

 

第 27 天（2022 年 11 月 17 日，星期四）

每日经文：
罗马书 12:11-12 殷勤不可懒惰。要心里火热。常常服事主。在指望中要喜乐。在患难中要忍耐。祷告要恒切。
约翰福音 9:4 趁着白日，我们必须作那差我来者的工。黑夜将到，就没有人能作工了。

回应祷告：对自满和懒惰所发出的警告我们必须认真的看待。毫无疑问，我们需要迫切祷告，因为末后的日子是邪恶的。主也挑战我们，在黑夜来临之前，要殷勤多做主工，因为黑夜临到时，就没有机会了。只要还有敞开的门，我们需要赶紧持续做主的工。让我们祷告能与神的心对齐，并晓得祂要我们所走的方向。

祷告要点：

  1. 为着下一代的缘故，为我们国家的未来祷告。我们不仅要祷告，而且必须出去投票以言行一致。要记得，我们的下一代会留意我们是否在这些事情上活出模范领导的素质。
  2. 祷告中选的领袖都是敬虔的人，他们敬畏神远离罪恶。他们的思维倾向和信念都是为了人民的利益，不分种族和宗教。

 

第 28 天（2022 年 11 月 18 日，星期五）

每日经文：
诗篇 144:12 我们的儿子，从幼年好像树栽子长大。我们的女儿如同殿角石，是按建宫的样式凿成的。
提摩太前书4:12 不可叫人小看你年轻。总要在言语，行为，爱心，信心，清洁上，都作信徒的榜样。

回应祷告： 在第15届大选，将有大量 30 岁以下的年轻人有资格投票。他们可能不完全了解政治的复杂性，而受到政治人物和朋友的影响。求神帮助他们明白投票是为了国家的未来（5 年），不应掉以轻心。我们必须继续鼓励他们，因为他们当中有些人有望成为国家未来的领袖。

祷告事项：

  1. 求神帮助教会能扮演督导的角色，帮助第一次投票的人晓得应该如何投票。他们应该以坚定的信念和勇气行使自己的权利，投出手中的一票，因为选择权在他们的手中。
  2. 现在有资格投票的年龄是 18 岁，任何人都不要轻看我们的青年人，因为他们手中的一票将决定国家的未来。在他们行使自己的权利时，求神赐给他们智慧。

 

第 29天（2022 年 11 月 19 日，星期六）

每日经文：
彼得前书 2:13-17 你们为主的缘故，要顺服人的一切制度，或是在上的君王，或是君王所派罚恶赏善的臣宰。因为神的旨意原是要你们行善，可以堵住那糊涂无知人的口。你们虽是自由的，却不可借着自由遮盖恶毒（或作阴毒），总要作神的仆人。务要尊敬众人。亲爱教中的弟兄。敬畏神。尊敬君王。

回应祷告： 今天是投票日，我们可以自由的选出领袖，因为投票是每个公民的权利。投票意味着我们知道需要表态，因手中的一票是有价值的。我们行使这项权利是为了我们的下一代。因此，求主赐给我们智慧，能明智地投出手中的一票。

祷告事项：

  1. 在旧约时代的约书亚，从律法书中，他晓得不不可向左，也不可向右，这样无论往哪里去，都可以获得成功。同样的，当我们抵达投票站时，我们应该要确定投票的对象，并凭着内心的呼声行动。
  2. 求神保守投票日能在平安及良好的天气中进行。祷告抵挡仇敌任何暴力和破坏性的计划，也纪念那些参与选举过程的人，让他们有很好的休息，能忠心地履行他们的职责。

 

第 30 天（2022 年 11 月 20 日，星期日）

每日经文：
罗马书 13:1-2 让每一个人都顺服当权者。因为除了来自上帝之外，没有任何权威，而那些存在的权威都是上帝设立的。 所以抗拒掌权的就是抗拒神所命定的，抗拒的必招致审判。

回应祷告：当大选成绩公布时，很多问题可能是没有答案的，我们如何看待选举结果将取决于我们信仰的成熟度，因为我们从一开始就渴望神的旨意行在我们的国土上。我们需要祷告并接受其结果，知道所发生的事将是神在我们里面开始一个新的工作。请为国家和平祷告，我们需要在国家建设上做出贡献，并参与社区服务。

祷告事项：

  1. 求神帮助我们的情绪不受选举结果的影响，也不让疑惑影响我们殷勤地事奉主。
  2. 求神安慰败选者，使他们有正确的视野，继续参与国家的建设。

15வது பொதுத் தேர்தல் நடைபெறப்போகிற கடைசி வாரத்துக்குள் நுழைகிற நாம், 2022 நவம்பர் 19ம் தேதியன்று நடைபெறப்போகிற தேர்தலுக்கு முன்பாக தேர்தல் பிரச்சாரத்தின் தீவிரத்தை எதிர்பார்க்கவும் அனுபவிக்கவும் முடியும்.

எப்படி மற்றும் ஏன் நாம் வாக்களிக்கிறோம் என்பது தேசம் செல்லப்போகிற திசையை அடுத்த 5 வருடத்துக்கு தீர்மானிக்கும். நீங்கள் தேசத்தின் எதிர்காலத்தைக் குறித்த அக்கறையுள்ளவராக இருந்தால், பயமுறுத்துகிற பருவநிலை காணப்பட்டாலும் அதை பொருட்படுத்தாமல் உங்களுடைய ஜனநாயகக் கடமையை நிறைவேற்றும்படி வாக்களிக்க புறப்பட்டுச் செல்ல வேண்டும்.

15வது பொதுத்தேர்தல் என்பது தேவ ஜனங்களாகிய நம்மில் அநேகருக்கு மாரத்தான் ஓட்டம் போன்றதாகும், மற்றும் இதில் நாம் கடைசி சுற்று ஓடி, எல்லைக்கோட்டை அடையும்படி எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியை கடந்த 21 நாட்களாக நாம் ஜெபத்தில் தாங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். இந்தத் தேர்தலானது மற்ற தேர்தல்களுக்கு தாய் போல பார்க்கப்படுகிறபடியால், தேவ ஜனங்களாகிய நாம் கவனத்துடன் செயல்பட்டு கடைசிவரை உண்மையுடன் இருக்க வேண்டும்.

நவம்பர் 20, 2022 அன்று நாம் இதற்காக இறுதியாக ஜெபம் செய்து, தேவன் நம் தேசத்திற்காக செய்கிற கிரியையை காணப்போகிறோம். பவுல் தீமோத்தேயுவினிடத்தில் “நாம் எல்லாப் பக்தியோடும் நல்லொழுக்கத்தோடும் கலகமில்லாமல் அமைதலுள்ள ஜீவனம்பண்ணும்படி” என்று தனது விருப்பத்தை தெரிவித்ததுபோல நாமும் அதே விருப்பத்தை எதிரொலிக்கிறோம்.

இப்படி காத்திருந்து ஜெபிப்பதில் எங்களோடு இணைந்ததற்காக உங்களுக்கு நன்றி சொல்லுகிறோம். நம்மேல் தேவன் அக்கறை உள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார் என்பதும் மற்றும் அவர் நம்மெல்லாருடைய நன்மையை தேடுகிறார் என்பதும் உண்மையில் நமக்கு ஆசீர்வாதமாகவும் உறுதியாகவும் உள்ளது.

நெகேமியா 8:2-3 அப்படியே ஏழாம் மாதம் முதல்தேதியில் ஆசாரியனாகிய எஸ்றா நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைப் புருஷரும் ஸ்திரீகளும், கேட்டு அறியத்தக்க அனைவருமாகிய சபைக்கு முன்பாகக் கொண்டுவந்து, தண்ணீர் வாசலுக்கு முன்னான வீதிக்கு எதிரேயிருந்து காலமே தொடங்கி மத்தியானமட்டும் புருஷருக்கும் ஸ்திரீகளுக்கும், கேட்டு அறியத்தக்க மற்றவர்களுக்கும் முன்பாக அதை வாசித்தான்; சகல ஜனங்களும் நியாயப்பிரமாண புஸ்தகத்திற்குக் கவனமாய்ச் செவிகொடுத்தார்கள்.

ஜெபம் : கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவே, நம்முடைய தேசத்தின் எதிர்காலம் உம்முடைய உன்னத கரங்களில் உள்ளது. எங்களைச் சுற்றியுள்ள சூழ்நிலையால் நாங்கள் கவனம் சிதறாதபடிக்கு, உம்முடைய வார்த்தையின் மூலம் உம்மிடத்தில் கிட்டிச்சேர விரும்புகிறோம். எங்களோடு பேசுகிற உம்முடைய மெல்லிய சத்தத்தை கேட்கும்படி எங்கள் செவிகள் கவனமாயிருக்கட்டும், மற்றும் எங்களுடைய விசுவாசம் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் அதிகரிக்கிறபடியால், எந்த மாதிரியான முடிவு கிடைத்தாலும் அதை எதிர்கொள்ள எங்களுக்கு தைரியம் உண்டாகும்.

நெகேமியா 8:5-6 எஸ்றா சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் உயர நின்று, சகல ஜனங்களும் காணப் புஸ்தகத்தைத் திறந்தான்; அவன் அதைத்திறந்தபோது, ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் எழுந்துநின்றார்கள். அப்பொழுது எஸ்றா மகத்துவமுள்ள தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரித்தான்; ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் தங்கள் கைகளைக் குவித்து, அதற்கு மறுமொழியாக, ஆமென் ஆமென் என்று சொல்லி, குனிந்து முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து, கர்த்தரைப் பணிந்து கொண்டார்கள்.

ஜெபம் : நவம்பர் 19ஆகிய இன்று தேர்தலுக்கு முந்தின கடைசி ஞாயிறாகும். ஜனங்கள் வார்த்தையை கேட்டு, உம்மை ஆராதிக்கும்படி தங்கள் தலைகளை தாழ்த்தினது போல, நாங்கள் ஒருமனப்பட்டு எங்கள் பரிசுத்த கரங்களை உயர்த்தி, ஜெபித்து ஆமென், ஆமென் என்று சொல்லுகிறோம். இந்த தேசத்தில் உள்ள கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் யாவரும் தங்களுக்காக அல்லாமல் தங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்காகவும் பேரப்பிள்ளைகளுக்காகவும் தங்களது வாக்கை செலுத்த வேண்டுமென்றும் அது அவர்களுடைய கடமையென்றும் ஞாபகம் வைத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

  1. சபையானது தேசத்தைக் குறித்து புலம்பி குறைசொல்லுவதற்கு பதிலாக பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்களாக நடந்துகொள்ள வேண்டிய பொறுப்புடையது என்றும், தங்களுடைய ஜனநாயகக் கடமையாகிய வாக்களிப்பதை நிறைவேற்ற ஒருவரையொருவர் உற்சாகப்படுத்த வேண்டுமென்றும் நினைவுபடுத்தப்பட வேண்டுமென்று ஜெபியுங்கள்.

ஏசாயா 32:15-17 உன்னதத்திலிருந்து நம்மேல் ஆவி ஊற்றப்படுமட்டும் அப்படியே இருக்கும்; அப்பொழுது வனாந்தரம் செழிப்பான வயல்வெளியாகும்; செழிப்பான வயல்வெளி காடாக எண்ணப்படும். வனாந்தரத்திலே நியாயம் வாசமாயிருக்கும், செழிப்பான வயல்வெளியிலே நீதி தங்கித்தரிக்கும். நீதியின் கிரியை சமாதானமும், நீதியின் பலன் என்றுமுள்ள அமரிக்கையும் சுகமுமாம்.

  2. கர்த்தாவே, சபைத் தலைவர்கள் அரசியல் மற்றும் சமூக அக்கறை குறித்த பிரச்சனைகளை விசுவாசிகளுடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும்போது, விவேகம் மற்றும் நீதியான தலைமைத்துவத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி அவர்களுக்கு ஞானத்தை தந்தருளும். இந்த தேசத்திற்கு உப்பாகவும் வெளிச்சமாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டியுள்ளதால் சபையானது தொடர்ந்து அரசியலை சாராமல் இருக்க வேண்டுமென்று ஜெபியுங்கள்.

இன்றைய வேதப்பகுதி :
சங் 112: 1-3 அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளில் மிகவும் பிரியமாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான். அவன் சந்ததிபூமியில் பலத்திருக்கும், செம்மையானவர்களின் வம்சம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும். ஆஸ்தியும் ஐசுவரியமும் அவன் வீட்டிலிருக்கும்; அவனுடைய நீதி என்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்.

  1. சபையானது தொடர்ந்து தேசத்தின் மேல் உண்மையுள்ள ஜாமக்காரனாயிருக்கும்படியும், தேசிய தலைவர்கள் தாங்கள் வாக்கு கொடுத்ததை நிறைவேற்றாதபோது பயப்படாமல் அதைப்பற்றி பேசும்படியும் ஜெபியுங்கள்.
  2. எல்லா அரசியல் கட்சிகளும் தேர்தல் பிரச்சாரத்திற்குப் பின்பு பொருளாதார நெருக்கடியைப் பற்றி பேசும்படியும், சரிந்து வருகிற மலேசிய வெள்ளியின் மதிப்பை நிலைநிறுத்த முயற்சிகள் எடுக்கும்படியும் ஜெபியுங்கள். இந்தப் பிரச்சனை குறிப்பாக ஏழைகளுக்கு பணவீக்கத்தையும் கஷ்டங்களையும் ஏற்படுத்தினது.

யாக் 1:27 திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளும் விதவைகளும் படுகிற உபத்திரவத்திலே அவர்களை விசாரிக்கிறதும், உலகத்தால் கறைபடாதபடிக்குத் தன்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதுமே பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக மாசில்லாத சுத்தமான பக்தியாயிருக்கிறது.
எபி 13:16 அன்றியும் நன்மைசெய்யவும், தானதர்மம்பண்ணவும் மறவாதிருங்கள்;இப்படிப்பட்ட பலிகளின்மேல் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.

ஜெபம் : கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவே, நீரே எங்கள் உதவி மற்றும் பெலத்தின் ஆதாரம். சபையானது திக்கற்றவர்கள் மற்றும் விதவைகள் படும் உபத்திரவத்தில் அவர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை நினைவில் கொள்ள வேண்டும் மற்றும் இதில்தான் சபையானது உம்மை சார்ந்துள்ளது. நாங்கள் உம்மில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால், எந்த நற்கிரியை செய்தாலும் அதை ஒருபோதும் தொடர முடியாது.

  1. தேவ ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரையும் மதிப்புடனும் மரியாதையுடனும் நடத்த வேண்டுமென்று ஜெபியுங்கள். நாம் செய்கிற எதுவாயினும் அது மனுக்குலத்திற்கு நன்மையாக இருக்கும். தங்களிடத்தில் தங்கியுள்ள அந்நியர்களை எப்படி நடத்த வேண்டுமென்று நம்முடைய தேவன் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களிடம் ( இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் ) நினைவுபடுத்தினார், ஏனென்றால் இவர்களும் எகிப்திலே அந்நியராக இருந்தார்கள். அதேபோல் நம் மத்தியில் குடியிருக்கிற புலம் பெயர்ந்தோருக்கு அவர்கள் படும் உபத்திரவத்தில் நாம் இரக்கம் காண்பிக்க வேண்டும்.
  2. ஒவ்வொரு தேவ பிள்ளையும் ராஜ்யத்தின் மேல் நோக்கமாயும், ஏழைகள் மற்றும் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டவர்களுடைய நீதிக்காக போராடுகிறவர்களாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும். நாம் முன்னேறுவதற்காக நம்முடைய அடிப்படையான தகுதியை இழந்துவிடக் கூடாது.

இன்றைய வேதப்பகுதி :
ரோமர் 12:1-2 அப்படியிருக்க, சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் உங்கள் சரீரங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமும் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமுமான ஜீவபலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென்று, தேவனுடைய இரக்கங்களை முன்னிட்டு உங்களை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்; இதுவே நீங்கள் செய்யத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ள ஆராதனை. நீங்கள் இந்தப் பிரபஞ்சத்திற்கு ஒத்த வேஷந்தரியாமல், தேவனுடைய நன்மையும் பிரியமும் பரிபூரணமுமானசித்தம் இன்னதென்று பகுத்தறியத்தக்கதாக, உங்கள் மனம் புதிதாகிறதினாலே மறுரூபமாகுங்கள்.
யோவான் 9:4 பகற்காலமிருக்குமட்டும் நான் என்னை அனுப்பினவருடைய கிரியைகளைச் செய்யவேண்டும்; ஒருவனும் கிரியை செய்யக்கூடாத இராக்காலம் வருகிறது.

ஜெபம் : நிர்விசாரம் மற்றும் சோம்பலுக்கு எதிரான எச்சரிக்கையை நாம் தீவிரமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். வரப்போகிற நாட்கள் பொல்லாதவைகளாக இருக்கப்போகிறபடியால் நாம் ஜெபத்தை இடைக்கச்சையாக கட்டிக்கொள்ள வேண்டுமென்பதில் எந்த சந்தேகமுமில்லை. ஒருவரும் கிரியை செய்யக்கூடாத இராக்காலம் வருகிறபடியால் நாம் தொடர்ந்து கிரியை செய்ய வேண்டுமென்று கர்த்தர் நமக்கு சவால் விடுகிறார். திறந்த வாசல் உள்ளவரை கர்த்தருடைய பணியை செய்வதில் அவசரம் காட்ட வேண்டும். நாம் தேவனுடைய இருதயத்துடிப்புடன் இணைந்து அவர் நமக்கு காண்பிக்கிற திசையை அறிய வேண்டும்.

ஜெபக் குறிப்புகள் :

  1. நம்முடைய பிள்ளைகள் மற்றும் பேரப்பிள்ளைகள் நிமித்தமாக நம்முடைய தேசத்தின் எதிர்காலத்துக்காக ஜெபியுங்கள். நாம் ஜெபிப்பது மாத்திரமல்ல, நாம் பேசுவதை செயலில் காட்ட புறப்பட்டு சென்று வாக்களிக்க வேண்டும். இந்தக் காரியங்களில் நாம் வெளிப்புடுத்துகிற தலைமைத்துவத்தை நம்முடைய பிள்ளைகள் கவனிக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை நினைவில் கொள்ளுங்கள்.
  2. தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுகிற தலைவர்கள் தேவ பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்கும்படியும் அவர்கள் தேவனுக்கு பயந்து பொல்லாப்புக்கு விலகுகிறவர்களாக இருக்கும்படியும் ஜெபியுங்கள். அவர்களுடைய சிந்தையும் நோக்கமும் இனம் மற்றும் மதத்துக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டு ஜனங்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்வதாக இருக்கும்படி ஜெபியுங்கள்.

இன்றைய வேதப்பகுதி :
சங் 144:12 அப்பொழுது எங்கள் குமாரர் இளமையில் ஓங்கிவளருகிற விருட்சக்கன்றுகளைப்போலவும், எங்கள் குமாரத்திகள் சித்திரந்தீர்ந்த அரமனை மூலைக்கற்களைப்போலவும் இருப்பார்கள்.
1 தீமோ 4:12 உன் இளமையைக்குறித்து ஒருவனும் உன்னை அசட்டைபண்ணாதபடிக்கு, நீ வார்த்தையிலும், நடக்கையிலும், அன்பிலும், ஆவியிலும், விசுவாசத்திலும், கற்பிலும், விசுவாசிகளுக்கு மாதிரியாயிரு.

ஜெபம் : 15வது பொதுத் தேர்தலானது 30 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட வாக்களிக்கும் தகுதியுள்ள குறிப்பிடத்தக்க அளவிலான வாக்காளர்களை கொண்டுள்ளது. அரசியலின் நுணுக்கங்களை அவர்கள் முழுமையாக புரிந்து கொள்ளாமல் இருக்கலாம் எனவே, அவர்கள் அரசியல்வாதிகளாலும் நண்பர்களாலும் தடுமாற்றம் அடையலாம். வாக்களிப்பது என்பது அவர்களுடைய எதிர்காலத்துக்காகவே ( 5 வருடங்கள் ) என்பதை அவர்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டுமென்றும், அதை சாதாரணமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ளக் கூடாது என்பதற்காகவும் ஜெபியுங்கள். அவர்களில் சிலர் எதிர்காலத்தில் நம் தேசத்தின் தலைவர்கள் ஆவார்கள் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுவதால் நாம் தொடர்ந்து அவர்களை உற்சாகப்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

ஜெபக் குறிப்புகள் :

  1. முதல் முறையாக வாக்களிக்கப் போகிறவர்கள் அதை எவ்வாறு செய்ய வேண்டுமென்பதைக் குறித்து ஆலோசனை வழங்குவதில் சபையின் பங்கு இருக்கும்படி ஜெபியுங்கள். அவர்கள் தாங்களாகவே முடிவெடுத்தாலும் உணர்வோடும் தைரியத்தோடும் தங்கள் கடமையை நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டுமென்று ஜெபியுங்கள்.

1 பேதுரு 2:13-17 நீங்கள் மனுஷருடைய கட்டளைகள் யாவற்றிற்கும் கர்த்தர்நிமித்தம் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். மேலான அதிகாரமுள்ள ராஜாவுக்கானாலுஞ்சரி, தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஆக்கினையும் நன்மைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியும் உண்டாகும்படி அவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட அதிகாரிகளுக்கானாலுஞ்சரி, கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். நீங்கள் நன்மைசெய்கிறதினாலே புத்தியீன மனுஷருடைய அறியாமையை அடக்குவது தேவனுடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது. சுயாதீனமுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்தும், உங்கள் சுயாதீனத்தைத் துர்க்குணத்திற்கு மூடலாகக் கொண்டிராமல், தேவனுக்கு அடிமைகளாயிருங்கள். எல்லாரையும் கனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; சகோதரரிடத்தில் அன்புகூருங்கள்; தேவனுக்குப் பயந்திருங்கள்; ராஜாவைக் கனம்பண்ணுங்கள்.

ஜெபம் : இன்றைக்கு தேர்தல் நாள் மற்றும் ஓட்டுரிமை ஒவ்வொரு குடிமகனின் உரிமையாக இருப்பதால் தலைவர்களை தேர்ந்தெடுக்க ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் உரிமையுண்டு. வாக்களிப்பது என்பது நாம் இருக்கிறோம் என்பது கவனிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதை நாம் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம் என்பதைக் காட்டுகிறது. இந்தக் கடமையை நாம் எவ்வாறு நிறைவேற்றுகிறோம் என்பது எங்களுடைய எதிர்கால சந்ததிக்காகவே எனவே எங்களுடைய வாக்கை நாங்கள் ஞானமாக செலுத்தும்படி உம்மிடம் நாங்கள் ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிறோம்.

ஜெபக் குறிப்புகள் :

  1. பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக் காலத்திய யோசுவாவுக்கு, நியாயப்பிரமாண புஸ்தகம் அவருடைய வாயை விட்டு பிரியாதிருக்கும்படியும் மற்றும் அவர் அதைவிட்டு வலதுபுறமோ இடதுபுறமோ விலகாதிருக்கும்படியும் சொல்லப்பட்டது, அப்பொழுது அவர் தன் வழியை வாய்க்கப் பண்ணுவார். அதேபோல நாம் வாக்குச்சாவடிக்கு செல்வதற்கு முன்பாக யாருக்கு வாக்களிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை முடிவு செய்திருக்க வேண்டும் மற்றும் அந்தக் கடமையை மனசாட்சியுடன் நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும்.
  2. தேர்தல் நாள் முழுக்க நல்ல சீதோஷ்ண நிலை இருக்கும்படி ஜெபியுங்கள். சத்துருவானவன் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிற வன்முறை மற்றும் இடையூறுகளுக்கு எதிராக ஜெபியுங்கள். தேர்தல் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளவர்களுக்காகவும், அவர்கள் உண்மையோடுகூட தங்கள் பணியை முடித்தபிறகு நல்ல ஓய்வு கிடைக்கும்படியும் ஜெபியுங்கள்.

இன்றைய வேதப்பகுதி :
ரோமர் 13:1-2 எந்த மனுஷனும் மேலான அதிகாரமுள்ளவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியக்கடவன்; ஏனென்றால், தேவனாலேயன்றி ஒரு அதிகாரமுமில்லை; உண்டாயிருக்கிற அதிகாரங்கள் தேவனாலே நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. ஆதலால் அதிகாரத்திற்கு எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறவன் தேவனுடைய நியமத்திற்கு எதிர்த்துநிற்கிறான்; அப்படி எதிர்த்துநிற்கிறவர்கள் தாங்களே ஆக்கினையை வருவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்.

ஜெபம் : தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் இறுதியாக வெளியானவுடன் அநேக பதிலளிக்கப்படாத கேள்விகள் இருக்கும். இந்த முடிவுகளை நாம் எவ்வாறு நோக்குகிறோம் என்பது நம்முடைய விசுவாச முதிர்ச்சியை சார்ந்திருக்கிறது, ஏனென்றால் ஆரம்பத்திலிருந்தே நாம் தேவனுடைய சித்தம் நிறைவேற வேண்டுமென்று விரும்பினோம். நாம் ஜெபித்து முடிவுகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் மற்றும் நடந்து முடிந்த காரியங்கள் தேவன் நமக்குள் கிரியை செய்ய ஒரு புதிய ஆரம்பம் என்பதை நாம் அறிய வேண்டும். நாம் தேசத்தை கட்டியெழுப்புவதிலும் சமுதாயத் தொண்டாற்றுவதிலும் நம்முடைய பங்களிப்பை செய்யும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம் என்பதை அறிந்து தேசத்தின் சமாதானத்துக்காக ஜெபியுங்கள்.

  1. தேர்தல் முடிவுகளால் நாம் மனதளவில் பாதிக்கப்படாதபடியும், தேவனுக்கு உற்சாக மனதுடன் ஊழியம் செய்யாதபடி நாம் சந்தேகத்தின் ஆவியை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளாதபடியும் ஜெபியுங்கள்.
  2. தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படாதவர்களுக்கு தேவன் ஆறுதலை அளிக்கும்படியும், தேசத்தை மறுபடியும் கட்டியெழுப்ப சரியான கண்ணோட்டத்தை அவர்கள் உடையவர்களாக இருக்கும்படியும் ஜெபியுங்கள்.
