NECF Prayer Week for the Nation - 1 to 8 March 2009
Recent developments since the beginning of the year have caused great concern and even anxious moment for some within the Christian church and community. With the economic downturn and unemployment rate expected to hit 6% coupled with the many statements made on the use of Bahasa Malaysia in Christian scriptures and other literature containing the word “Allah”, it is foreseeable a sense of foreboding is growing within the communities in Malaysia. With the current political situation, Christians need to come together in unity of spirit before our sovereign and mighty God. We must pray for justice and righteousness to prevail. We cannot afford to be complacent and fail our call to intercede for the nation.
In view of the urgency, NECF Malaysia has fixed the first week of March 1-8 (Sunday to Sunday) to specifically pray for these concerns and developments in the country. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We want to pray for the Lord’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Eph.6:12; Matt.6:10)
Come together for this time of earnest prayer!
