Announcement of New Secretary General of NECF
Dear Members and Church Leaders,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is with great pleasure that NECF announces the appointment of Rev Andy Chi as Secretary-General (SG) with effect from 1 January 2026. This appointment marks a reappointment, as Rev Andy previously served as Secretary-General from 2018 to 2020.
Over the years, Rev Andy has faithfully served NECF in various leadership capacities, including:
· Executive Secretary for Prayer, Evangelism and Discipleship
(2010–2013)
· Senior Executive Secretary
(2013–2015)
· Assistant Secretary-General
(2015–2018)
· Executive Secretary for Church Relations and Welfare
(2022–2025)
At the same time, we offer our heartfelt thanksgiving to God for the faithful service of our outgoing Secretary-General, Pastor Samuel Ang.
Pastor Samuel was first appointed Secretary-General in 2008, serving until 2012, and later resumed the role from 2020 to 2025. Prior to this, he served NECF as Honorary Treasurer from 1990 and as Honorary Secretary from 2004. In total, he has faithfully served NECF for 36 years, a testament to his unwavering commitment and steadfast leadership.
He helped steer the ship when NECF experienced strong headwinds and the many challenges that tested our unity.
His wisdom has been a gift not only to NECF, but also to CFM.
We thank God for Pastor Samuel Ang and wish him every blessing as he embarks on a new chapter of his spiritual journey. We warmly welcome Rev Andy Chi as he steps into his role as Secretary-General, and we look forward to God’s continued work through the NECF team.
