Vision

To help raise Christian women who see themselves as daughters of God with a purpose in Malaysia.

Role

  • To raise awareness on women's issues in church and society
  • To create awareness of women's contributions in nation and Kingdom building
  • To facilitate and network with local churches and organizations
  • To be a voice and conduit to release women into God's purpose

Mission

  • Hold dialogues & consultations with key stakeholders involved in women development
  • Maintain an active communication website to share women developments in Malaysia
  • Facilitate capacity building opportunities for women
  • Maintain an inventory of resources & opportunities for women towards Agenda 2020

The Women Commission aims to raise the profile, contributions and concerns of Christian women in Malaysia through networking with churches and organizations.

    Commission Members

    Grace Hee is the current Chairperson of the Women Commission. She was previously a Council Member of NECF Malaysia and Chairperson of the NECF Prayer Commission. Married to the Senior Pastor Ron Hee of New Life Restoration Centre Petaling Jaya, she has 2 children, Sarah and Nicholas Hee. Professionally, she is the Safety Health and Environment Manager of a major oil and gas company in Malaysia.

    Susan Chan Tean Yin is an Associate Trainer for John Maxwell's MLM (Million Leaders Mandate). By profession, she is a college lecturer and corporate trainer and has her own training company known as Aidios Training and Skills Development.
    She is married to Dr. Chan Kok Eng and they have two sons. Susan and her husband worship at FGA Kota Damansara and are involved in missions to Vietnam, China, Philippines and other Asian countries.

    Dr Cheah Soo Ngoh is a retired government dentist. Presently she works part- time in University Malaya and University Kebangsaan Malaysia. She helps in dental missions both locally and overseas. Married to Tang Thin Sue, a retired chemist, they are blessed with four lovely daughters and a grandson. The family worships at FGA. Dr Cheah helps out with the Marriage Courses run by the FGA Family Life Centre.

    Nesam Ebenezer retired in June 2005 after being a full time worker in Malaysia CARE for 23 years. She had worked with women drug addicts, ex-prisoners as well as with poor communities.
    At the moment, she is a Lay Pastor in her Church, St. Paul's Church, PJ. She is also the Chairperson of St. Paul's DTC/EIC, a ministry to those with learning disabilities.

    Sally Dharminder and her pastor husband worship at a small church in Serdang, called Ignite Community Centre. Sally enjoys ministering to tertiary students, and has a heart to see young women in the church rise up to their full potential.
    Sally has enjoyed her vocation as a lecturer for the past 12 years, but has now gone back to her books. She is pursuing her PhD in Women's Studies in University of Malaya.
    Sally loves reading, art, and sports. She has been married to Daniel Singh for the past 13 years and they have a 10-year old daughter, Qarlene.
