Men of Substance,
Women of Worth A MEN's seminar in July at the Sungei Way Subang Methodist Church, afforded 200 men an opportunity to make fresh commitments to become more godly in a world faced by eroding values. Coming from various church backgrounds, it was also a time for the brothers-in-Christ to learn to uphold one another in small group prayer for the strength to live lives of integrity for God. Organised by Focus on the Family Malaysia and NECF, the event had Barry Cutchie, the National Director of Promise Keepers in Australia and Dr Peter Ng, a consultant urologist, as it speakers. Some of the topics covered were learning to be more open with their emotions, recognising the cost of corporate success, dealing with their sexuality, connecting with their heavenly Father (and reconciling with their earthly fathers) to better father their children, and deepening their intimacy with their wives through their deepening relationship with God. –— By Lee Wee Min and Goh Poh Gaik |
