OA Conference

AS almost 230 participants gathered in Peacehaven, Genting Highlands from 27 to 29 September for the First National Orang Asli Ministries Conference, it was a foretaste of heaven.

Semai, Temiar, Temuan, Jakun, Semelai, Mahmeri, Orang Seletar Christians (78 percent of the participants) and  non-Asli brethren of various races worshipped, prayed, discussed and listened to the Word of God together.

The participation of Christians from 40 different churches belonging to 13 denominations and independent churches was a testimony to God's hand in bringing His people together. Bangkitlah Dan Maju Bersama (Let Us Arise and Move Forward Together) was a fitting theme.

One of the highlights was when the members of the OA Ministries Commission of NECF, formed just this year,  was officially introduced.

It was accompanied by expectation and hope for greater co-operation in the coming days for the strengthening of the OA church and its expansion to the other 12 OA groups yet to be reached with the gospel.

Most participants were encouraged by the meetings and felt the event should be an annual affair.
