Condolences and prayers for the families and relatives of passengers and crew on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

NECF Malaysia wishes to express our grief and condolences to the families and relatives of all crew and passengers onboard the flight MH370. It was announced last night by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, that based on satellite data, the flight "ended in the southern Indian Ocean... a remote location, far from any possible landing sites".

We cannot imagine the unspeakable sorrow that families and relatives must be experiencing. We are humbled and stand in solidarity with them through our prayers.

To that end, we urge churches and all Christians to offer prayers at their weekly prayer meetings, church services, in small group meetings and individual daily devotions for:

  • A speedy, thorough and successful search operation for the recovery of the plane and its black box under difficult and dangerous circumstances at open sea.
  • A thorough and accurate investigation process so as to provide closure for the families of the passengers and crew.
  • And for peace and healing in due time for the families and relatives of the passengers and crew.

We also acknowledge the wholehearted sacrifice, hard work and perseverance of the multiple agencies involved in the search operation, both under the Malaysian government and from the 25 other countries which are contributing resources and personnel for the search.

May God protect and watch over them as they continue efforts to find the plane.

God bless Malaysia.
